Charlie Cox's Daredevil Rumored To Don Classic Yellow Costume For SHE-HULK Appearance

Take this one with a healthy dose of salt, but a new rumor is claiming that Charlie Cox will don Daredevil's classic yellow costume for his appearance in the Disney+ She-Hulk series.

Kevin Feige recently confirmed that Charlie Cox will indeed reprise the role of Matt Murdock/Daredevil, with the character heavily rumored to make his MCU debut in Spider-Man: No Way Home next week. We've heard that the Man Without Fear will also show up in She-Hulk, and a very interesting rumor relating to the character's appearance in the Disney+ series is now doing the rounds online.

While chatting to the guys on the Change My Mind Podcast, GWW's KC Walsh claimed that Cox's Daredevil will don his classic yellow costume for his She-Hulk appearance. As Marvel Comics aficionados will no doubt be aware, Murdock actually wore this suit as a homage to his father's boxing robe before switching to the his more recognizable red outfit.

How much stock you want to put in this is open for discussion, but Walsh has had a few scoops pan out in the past, so it's definitely worth keeping an eye on. Plus, if Marvel Studios is planning to "rebrand" this take on Daredevil following Cox's portrayal in the Netflix show, it only makes sense that they'd change-up his costume in a significant way. That said, we're not sure how well the yellow duds will translate to the screen. It was a cool alternate look for the Devil of Hell's Kitchen in the comics, but most would agree that the hero's signature red costume is a lot cooler.

What do you guys think? Would you like to see DD in the yellow suit? Be sure to let us know what you make of the rumor in the usual place.

She-Hulk will star Tatiana Maslany in the title role, along with Jameela Jamil as Titania, Renée Elise Goldsberry as a character named Amelia, Tim Roth as Abomination and Ginger Gonzaga as Jennifer Walters’ best friend (most likely Jill Stevens). Dead To Me director Kat Coiro wil helm the pilot and several other episodes, while Rick and Morty scribe Jessica Gao leads the writers' room.

No premiere date has been set, but the show is expected to hit Disney+ sometime next year.

I never liked the yellow costume. Nobody is supposed to know Daredevil is blind, but there's no way someone with sight thinks that color scheme looks good on them.

@Spock0Clock - Funny, that's exactly why I love the yellow costume. Because nobody with sight would think that color scheme looks good on them.

I don’t think the yellow suit works BUT I think you can kind of get away with it in a way. I actually started writing a Daredevil thing for fun before the Netflix show years back and my idea was that he essentially dresses up in Jack Murdock’s robes and shorts initially to be this avenging Angel to go after the Fixer and seem like the Ghost of Jack. I think you could do a visual nod like that but I think a straight up yellow and red suit is a tough sell for someone who is a character so rooted in darkness and stealth

This rumor has been around for a while now on reddit. but i hope they translate it well. That suit always looked bad to me.

Since this is a "reimagining" of Matt/Daredevil (according to Cox) this would be a good beginning suit that I hope changes back to all red for the Echo show and his own solo show... also maybe a Spider-Man team-up in a sequel 🤞🏼

@lordSTALE - Where did cox say that?

@Nightwing1015 - Context is key here: the below video was from October after he signed the contract to come back and shot his scene for NWH, so his "hypothetical" explanation about him coming back to play the character is actually what is really happening

This is a pretty low risk thing to just make up. Got a good chance of being right.

Bring on the yellow suit.

In other news: DC testing 2 x cuts of 'The Batman' - one with big name actor. I'm guessing: Joaquin Phoenix

The "YELLOW" must be a dull dull! yellow, and the "RED" has to be a MAROONISH BROWN with hints of black in it. That's the only way I see it happening.

Of course completely unrelated but I think if they can pull off Reverse Flash's costume in The Flash TV show then then I'm more than sure Marvel will find a way to make this version of yellow work. If true of course.

I mean, why not? I wouldn't mind the yellow suit, just as long they make sense of it.

They’d never do something this cool. Maybe to make a joke about it like what they did in Luke Cage

Along with the original 5, X-,Men, this one of those things I don't know why fans want to see on live action Stan Lee's vision Daredevil and X-Men didn't worked even on the comics why waste time adapting that intead the cooler ideas that actually made those characters memorable.
CorndogBurglar
CorndogBurglar - 12/12/2021, 9:42 AM
@YonnyLayna - The original 5 X-Men didn't work in comics? Really? The original X-Men run went from 1963 all the way up until 1970 before slipping into reprints. Thatz a 7 year run, man. And they only ever added 1 other character (Mimic) the entire time, and he only lasted for a couple issues

Then then X-Factor came out in 1986 with the original 5 X-Men and that lasted until 1991 when Lee and Claremont's X-Men #1 came out.

Those are both long runs and were highly popular. If you say the original 5 didn't work in comics but had hugely successful runs like that, then what comic team van you honestly say did work? Because those were a out as successful as most comic runs get
