We recently learned that Jameela Jamil had joined the cast of the upcoming Disney+ She-Hulk series as the villainous Titania (the trades have since confirmed the original report), and while The Good Place star has yet to comment on her first MCU role, she has revealed that she will be "double-dipping" in a new DC-based project.
Jamil took to social media last night to announce that she's joined the already impressive cast of the upcoming DC League of Super-Pets animated movie. She didn't reveal which character she'll be voicing, however.
"Life is extremely getting increasingly silly at the moment," Jamil added on Instagram. "Ps. I’m such a super fan of all of these people. I’m going to nerd out so hard at the premiere. Expect many embarrassing selfies. Sorry in advance."
The news that Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson will be providing the voice of the Man of Steel's loyal pooch Krypto broke a couple of weeks ago, and that was followed by a brief teaser announcing the rest of the A-list ensemble.
Joining the Black Adam star will be frequent collaborator Kevin Hart (Jumanji: Welcome to The Jungle), Kate McKinnon (Ghostbusters 2016), John Krasinski (A Quiet Place), Vanessa Bayer (SNL), Natasha Lyonne (Russian Doll), Diego Luna (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story) and Keanu Reeves (John Wick). Hart is voicing Ace the Bat-Hound, but none of the other characters have been announced.
Jared Stern penned the script and is co-directing with Sam Levine. Johnson’s Seven Bucks Productions have also boarded project, with Dany Garcia and Hiram Garcia producing. John Requa, Glenn Ficarra and Nicholas Stoller are executive producing.
DC League of Super-Pets is set to fly into theaters on May 20, 2022.
