SHE-HULK: ATTORNEY AT LAW Star Jameela Jamil Hits Back; "Why Are So Many Men So Upset?"

She-Hulk: Attorney at Law star Jameela Jamil (Titania) has responded to users who have decided to take aim at the Disney+ series, explaining why "some men are exhausting for women to deal with."

Since She-Hulk: Attorney at Law's series launch it has faced its fair share of controversy, due in part to its feminist messages and vastly different approach to storytelling from anything previously seen in the MCU.

Recently, Titania actress Jameela Jamil took to Twitter to share another video of herself in character as the villain in New York City's Times Square. She's been having a lot of fun playing this character outside of the MCU, but there were those who couldn't resist taking a stab at the show and Jamil.

As you can see below, the actress wasted no time firing back, but did point out that dealing with some of the commentary surrounding She-Hulk: Attorney at Law from some male viewers has grown tiresome.

"I am toxic? You randomly were rude to me online without knowing me. You are toxic," Jamil says. "A woman politely responding to your rudeness is toxic? You need our show, because it highlights your type of behavior. Some men are exhausting for women to deal with and have no accountability."

When another user shared their disappointment with the Disney+ series, she responded: "Dude who cares? I got to live my dream and be in a Marvel project and go to events where I got to meet all my Favourite Marvel stars and talk to them about their movies, and I got PAID?! My cup is FULL. But how is your life going?"

The penultimate episode of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law is set to arrive on Disney+ this Thursday and is expected to finally feature Charlie Cox's long-awaited return as Daredevil.

Her feeding the trolls almost makes her a troll herself. It’s not going to make anyone’s obnoxious behavior any better.

@thedrudo - so you’re saying that she’s damned if she does, damned if she doesn’t?

Your comment is essentially “Won’t somebody think of the trolls?”

Okay then. It’s probably very cathartic for her to throw it back in their faces.

@thedrudo - That’s like saying standing up to a bully kind of makes you a bully.

Ludicrous.

@Dotanuki - That's a stretch but I get your point too.

I really just meant that going after the trolls just feeds their passion for going after her and the show.

I love Jameela. Her character is a little cringe, but that's the point. I just hope they get more into what's going to happen. The last episode was a step up over the prior two so-so episodes

Somebody gets it. She's a satire of vapid online influencers.

@dmac3232 - That’s right. I think it’s great that the MCU is giving some personality to otherwise two dimensional B listers.

@ScaryTerry - For sure. I'm sure all 7 Titania fans are bummed, but oh well. They can commiserate with the 53 Mandarin fans.

@marvel72 - he's calling the "trolls" wimps, then when I threw that insult around to the cast and crew, he just sent me an ad for she hulk. And I don't mean he sent me an ad. His message is like a pre-approved quote from disney advertising the show. I genuinely can't rationalize this any way besides he's actually being paid by disney.

Did fans want a spoof?

Self referential humor is fine but not sure anyone is going to one of the big two’s movies for a spoof

Havent watched it yet, so dont know how much of a spoof it is but still

Deadpool and harley quinn the animated series are doing very well

This is exhausting to read, for both sides. But, yeah, the people that take the time to attack actors bc they didn't like the show they work at are lamer, get a life man.

Maybe there were some bad comments against her on Twitter, but basing solely on the examples in this article, are those comments really wrong? They aren't even that rude, or sexist, just criticism towards the show.
MyCoolYoung
MyCoolYoung - 10/3/2022, 10:59 AM
@Urubrodi - who's waiting on the finale is criticism? You won't be seeing a two seasoned fry? Those are critiques. They are 100% insults
MyCoolYoung
MyCoolYoung - 10/3/2022, 11:06 AM
those aren't critiques
Urubrodi
Urubrodi - 10/3/2022, 11:09 AM
@MyCoolYoung - I mean saying who is waiting on a finale is basically saying that the show is bad... which to me is a reaction that a lot of people around here have on a daily basis. It wasn't some personal attack on her or some sexist remark, it was basically just saying "your show is crap". My point is, there is nothing about those comments that make them sexist or a personal attack on the actress, but maybe there are some other comments out there that I don't know of, just basing myself on the ones in this article.
MyCoolYoung
MyCoolYoung - 10/3/2022, 11:15 AM
@Urubrodi - she never claimed sexist. She pointed out men are mad, and judging by these threads, they are. People can say, "oh, the show is bad," etc., but I've seen the same people on these threads having the same opinion about this show BEFORE any episode came out. These threads encapsulate "why are men so mad?" To a T, so I'm unsure why you used these threads as an example of anything but Jameela's point
Urubrodi
Urubrodi - 10/3/2022, 11:21 AM
@MyCoolYoung - Josh wrote the article not me, he's the one using them as example. From what I've seen the majority of people dislike the show for being bad, but yes there are those people that judge things before they are released or that make sexist remarks. But unless there are other comments out there that she is replying to, those in this article are normal comments.
