SHE-HULK: Renée Elise Goldsberry Can't Say If She's Joined The MCU But Explains Why She's A Fan (Exclusive)

It's been widely reported that Renée Elise Goldsberry (Hamilton) has joined She-Hulk, and while she couldn't confirm that, the actress did explain why she's such a big fan of the Marvel Cinematic Universe!

Earlier today, we were lucky enough to catch up with Renée Elise Goldsberry to discuss her role as Ms. Nowhere in the upcoming fifth season of Fast & Furious: Spy Racers (which launches on Netflix tomorrow, August 13). Of course, we're sure you'll also recognise the actress from her Emmy-nominated performance in Hamilton on Disney+ and as Quellcrist Falconer in Altered Carbon

Back in April, it was reported that Goldsberry had joined the cast of Marvel Studios' She-Hulk as a character referred to only as "Amelia." That's led to a lot of speculation about who she could be playing, and it's impossible to imagine Marvel Studios wasting such a talented performer on a bit part.

While we had Renée on the phone, we obviously had to ask if she could tease anything about her role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. "[Laughs] Talk about franchises. I love the Fast & Furious franchise and I was marvelling right before our call about what it feels like to be part of this series in this very unique space. The Marvel Universe is also a franchise I’m a huge fan of, specifically because of the similarities it has with the Fast & Furious franchise: it’s something I can enjoy with my children."

"So, yeah, I can’t talk at all about being involved in the Marvel Universe [Laughs] but the similarities of being able to sit down with my kids and laugh and go on a crazy adventure is one of my favourite things to do," she continued. "I’d love to be part of that universe if it was also a possibility..."

We're guessing Goldsberry will be part of She-Hulk, but given the secretive nature of the MCU, it's hardly a surprise that the actress is forced to choose her words carefully. With the series about to move into post-production, an official cast announcement hopefully isn't too far away, but in the meantime, we'd strongly suggest checking out Ms. Nowhere in action in Fast & Furious: Spy Racers!

I'm kinda mad about F&F and MCU being compared, but for the reason she does I can let it slide.
