SHE-HULK Set Photo Provides Our First Glimpse Of Tatiana Maslany As Jennifer Walters

The first photo from the Atlanta set of Marvel's She-Hulk has been shared online, giving us a glimpse of star Tatiana Maslany as Jennifer Walters filming what's believed to be a flashback scene...

Production is now underway on Marvel's She-Hulk in Atalanta, Georgia, and Atlanta Filming has managed to snap a photo of star Tatiana Maslany on set.

The Emmy Award-winning Orphan Black actress appears to be wearing a UCLA hoodie, and since this Californian college is the alma mater of Jennifer Walters in the comic books, it's assumed that Maslany is in-character as the green powerhouse's human alter-ego here.

We don't have any context for the scene being filmed, but either the Disney+ series begins during Walters' college days, of we will be seeing some flashbacks.

It's not a particularly revealing shot, but now that the Disney+ series is filming, we may see more set photos find their way online before too long.

Hamilton star Renée Elise Goldsberry recently joined the cast as a character named Amelia. She joins Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/Hulk, Tim Roth as Abomination and Ginger Gonzaga as Walters’ best friend (most likely Jill Stevens). As far as we know, a mysterious female villain will play a major part in the story, but an actress has yet to be announced for the role.

Dead To Me director Kat Coiro wil helm the pilot and several other episodes, while Rick and Morty scribe Jessica Gao will lead the writers room.

Didn't Feige say this was gonna be six 30 min episodes. If so, then this show is rly bout to be short. Bummer. I'm looking forward to Abomination's and Ruffalo's return. Wonder if he'll still be in Smart hulk form.

@MarDCel - Nah, Feige said this will be a 10 x 30 minutes season.

@MarDCel - While a part of that is no doubt that shorter season means less money needed for close to a movie quality CGI for Hulk and Abomination (and maybe She-Hulk herself, if they go that route instead of make-up), but She-Hulk books are typically straightforward comedies, so this will probably not be a deep character study like Wandavision or epic espionage thriller like FATWS, so it doesn't need as much time for character/plot development.

And personally, more genre television should embrace shorter episodes and quicker pace. It worked for Ash vs. Evil Dead and Amazon's Tick.

@Se4M4NSt4ine - it's just odd that you are trying to lessen a characters involvement as "fan service". My point was to point out the hypocritical nature of your statement.

@Hulkh8liars - you just admitted it’s down to fan service yourself. Does that mean you’re being hypocritical too?

@Hulkh8liars - “Fan service is literally the only reason for any comic property to be adapted in any form.“

Must’ve forgotten about “telling a resonant, compelling story”. You know, that little ditty.

@TheRealTomServo- any good story needs those but 90+% of stories being told are no more than fan service so it's odd how some pick at a franchise providing both fan service and quality storytelling for providing "fan service".

Gonna be interesting to see how this show turns out... I think it’s the riskiest out of all the MCU shows coming out.
