THE GIFTED Casts AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D And SMALLVILLE Actress Elena Satine As Beautiful Dreamer

During the Television Critics Association panel yesterday, The Gifted showrunner Matt Nix announced that Dreamer (Beautiful Dreamer in the comics) would be introduced in the second episode of the show.
The character will be played by former Smallville and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. alum, Elena Satine.
In the comics, Dreamer has the ability to psionically alter the memories of others using her special "dream smoke" as a focus, but it sounds like her power will be given a "sexy" twist for the series:
"One of the things about her character is that’s a really sexy power that isn’t a gigantic power. We aren’t blowing up a building with her … it doesn’t involve a six-week CG build."
Nix also teased a romantic connection to Blair Redford's Thunderbird, and hinted that the pair would find themselves in some kind of love triangle - though he didn't reveal which other character is involved.
The Gifted is set to premiere on Monday, October 2.
