A rumor did the rounds that a new Disney+ series focusing on The Vision was in development last night, and Deadline has now confirmed that the show is indeed in the works for the streaming service.

Titled Vision Quest, the show will focus on the synthezoid "trying to regain his memory and humanity." Paul Bettany will reprise his WandaVision role, and while her return is yet to be made official, Elizabeth Olsen is expected to appear as Wanda Maximoff, aka the Scarlet Witch.

The finale of WandaVision revealed that the Vision we'd been spending time with over the course of the season was actually one of Wanda's constructs, but the real, "White Vision" was rebuilt by S.W.O.R.D. and programmed to track down and kill the Scarlet Witch. He flew away to parts unknown towards the end of the episode after declaring himself to be the "true Vision."

As for Wanda, last we saw of her she was laying waste to the Illuminati and bringing a mountain down on top of herself in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

Should Vision Quest become a reality, it will be the second show to spin-off from WandaVision after Agatha: Coven of Chaos. Both projects will be overseen by Jac Schaeffer, who served as the original Emmy-nominated series' creator, writer, and executive producer.

Bettany has previously teased the possibility of Vision's return without giving anything away.

“It was a beautiful culmination for all these things Lizzie and I have done together,” he said of WandaVision during a 2021 interview. “We really found a lane for ourselves, and this was different in tone from those movies. But you never know with Marvel, whether you’re done, or not. So I don’t want to call it the end yet. This was one of the most creative experiences of my life, joyful and free, making this show. To see it embraced by an audience the way it was, was so wonderful.”

@Taonrey - just seem like Marvel breaking their own rules now, before they said bringing back people was cheap
Amaru
Amaru - 10/28/2022, 11:40 PM
@Matchesz - She never died in Dr. Strange so I am not sure what rule you think they're breaking.
Taonrey
Taonrey - 10/28/2022, 11:44 PM
@Matchesz - they broke that rule awhile ago l, sure they're technically different versions but Gamora,Vision and loki have all been brought back. Also this doesn't really count since Wanda didn't die. She collapsed a cave but we didn't see her die.
Spock0Clock
Spock0Clock - 10/29/2022, 3:04 AM
@Taonrey - We can argue about whether it's cheap or not, but Marvel absolutely has a history of fake-out deaths. Including some truly egregious "we see the cold body" scenes.

@Spock0Clock - Does nobody remember Infinity War? And then Endgame, a whole film about bringing the 50% of all life that died in Infinity War back from the dead?

@Matchesz - No one in comic books stays dead. So no one in comic book movies will stay dead either.

Hell yeah. Finally giving Vision the attention he deserves. WandaVision is one of my favorite things Marvel Studios has ever done but let’s be real, as great as Paul was, that was Wanda’s show. I love The Vision and he has never gotten the focus I think he deserves in the comics. Although obviously his solo series was great, just short lived. Agatha show, then a Vision show, and then hopefully a Scarlet Witch movie.

Honestly MoM was a misstep for me. Bring Wanda back and recover from the ending of that movie.

Also recast Billy and Tommy because little homies cannot act lol.

The irredeemable Scarlet Witch. Mass murderer, captured and tortured an entire town.

They have destroyed that character.

You have no idea what she sacrificed for them.

TheWalkingCuban - 10/28/2022, 11:42 PM
@TyrantBossMedia - why do you say they destroyed it? I think it’s a good arc. From bad guy, to good guy, to bad guy. To whatever she’s about to be. To whatever she will be after that ok I see it now yeah I get my point, you thought I was gonna say your point. No I get my point now… if she’s in it I’m watching it.
IAmIronGland
IAmIronGland - 10/29/2022, 2:08 AM
@TyrantBossMedia - Huh? The comics version of Magneto has swung from irredeemable villain to hero and back multiple times. Has he been destroyed? A bit hyperbolic with that statement, I think.
TyrantBossMedia
TyrantBossMedia - 10/29/2022, 3:27 AM
@IAmIronGland - As so many here are so proud to say, the movies are very different from the comics.

You also need a redemption arc.
ObserverIO
ObserverIO - 10/29/2022, 5:03 AM
@TyrantBossMedia - You don't necessarily need a redemption arc. Just keep her as a villain that we love. Like Magneto, Loki, etc. They can do good and heroic things sometimes. People are complex.
TyrantBossMedia
TyrantBossMedia - 10/29/2022, 10:18 AM
@ObserverIO - That’s not a bad idea.
, but this is Disney we’re talking about. I don’t think they have it in them to keep Wanda a villain.

I’m down for this. I’ve never been a fan of Wanda or Vision in the comics, and I didn’t like them in the Avengers movies, but I did enjoy WandaVision quite a bit (with the exception of the final episode), so I’ll jump on board.
