A rumor did the rounds that a new Disney+ series focusing on The Vision was in development last night, and Deadline has now confirmed that the show is indeed in the works for the streaming service.

Titled Vision Quest, the show will focus on the synthezoid "trying to regain his memory and humanity." Paul Bettany will reprise his WandaVision role, and while her return is yet to be made official, Elizabeth Olsen is expected to appear as Wanda Maximoff, aka the Scarlet Witch.

The finale of WandaVision revealed that the Vision we'd been spending time with over the course of the season was actually one of Wanda's constructs, but the real, "White Vision" was rebuilt by S.W.O.R.D. and programmed to track down and kill the Scarlet Witch. He flew away to parts unknown towards the end of the episode after declaring himself to be the "true Vision."

As for Wanda, last we saw of her she was laying waste to the Illuminati and bringing a mountain down on top of herself in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

Should Vision Quest become a reality, it will be the second show to spin-off from WandaVision after Agatha: Coven of Chaos. Both projects will be overseen by Jac Schaeffer, who served as the original Emmy-nominated series' creator, writer, and executive producer.

Bettany has previously teased the possibility of Vision's return without giving anything away.

“It was a beautiful culmination for all these things Lizzie and I have done together,” he said of WandaVision during a 2021 interview. “We really found a lane for ourselves, and this was different in tone from those movies. But you never know with Marvel, whether you’re done, or not. So I don’t want to call it the end yet. This was one of the most creative experiences of my life, joyful and free, making this show. To see it embraced by an audience the way it was, was so wonderful.”
