WANDAVISION Spoiler Recap And Discussion For "Episode 3"

The third episode of WandaVision just hit Disney+, and we're now recapping everything that happened in "Episode 3" as Westview became a little more colourful...and a whole lot weirder! Check it out...

The second episode of WandaVision concluded with Wanda Maximoff and Vision discovering that the Scarlet Witch is pregnant, while the world around them turned to colour and transformed into the 1970s. This week, we kick things off with a doctor paying this unusual couple a visit, and despite only falling pregnant the night before, Wanda is much further along than both she and Vision can believe.

As the android walks the doctor out (who is getting ready to set off on holiday), he notices Herb next door trimming his hedges...and cutting through the wall. He appears to be oblivious to what he's doing, which is very strange, to say the least!

Back inside, the pregnant Wanda's powers are beginning to act up due to her pregnancy. When Vision sits Wanda down and starts talking about things not being quite right (mentioning the dinner with the Harts and Herb's behaviour outside), time suddenly skips back, and the conversation plays out completely differently as they talk about the baby instead. Wanda definitely seemed concerned when it looked like Vision was figuring out that things aren't right in Westview, so take that as you will.

This week's commercial is for "HYDRA Soak," and aside from the obvious reference to that villainous organisation, there's nothing here which offers any major clues to what's really happening.

At this point, Wanda's baby bump has grown considerably, and Vision decides he needs to go and get that doctor before his wife gives birth in a matter of hours. Geraldine (Teyonah Parris) shows up at the door, and chaos ensues as Wanda tries to hide her pregnancy. As if that's not difficult enough, the stork Wanda earlier painted on the wall comes to life, and the Avenger is forced into a number of awkward moments as she attempts to hide her powers from her new friend.

Geraldine soon realises that Wanda is pregnant, and there's a very interesting moment when she stops talking in such an exaggerated, sitcom way, almost as if she's snapped out of this so-called reality. We don't get much time to think about that, though, as Wanda gives birth to a baby boy. Vision and the doctor arrive, and it's then a second baby comes: meet Tommy and Billy! Those of you familiar with the comic books will know that they grow up to be Young Avengers members, Speed and Wiccan.

Vision walks the doctor out, who reveals that he's no longer going on holiday. Mentioning that you can't escape a small town, there's clearly something panicked about him, but Vision then notices Herb and Agnes whispering between themselves about Geraldine. Herb starts telling Vision that "we're all..." but is interrupted by Agnes who points out that Geraldine doesn't have a home, and doesn't belong in Westview. They're clearly putting on an act as these sitcom "characters," and both return to their cheery selves as a confused Vision heads back inside.

While all this is happening, Wanda tells Geraldine about her brother, Pietro, reflecting on the fact that they were also twins. This snaps her friend out of whatever trance she's in as she reminds Wanda that it was Ultron who killed the speedster. Wanda doesn't appreciate this reminder (and isn't happy to see the sword logo on her necklace), and when Vision comes inside, Geraldine has gone.

A seemingly sinister Wanda says that her friend has gone home, and it's then we see Monica thrown out of what appears to be an energy field around Westview. S.W.O.R.D. quickly closes in as "The Monkees' "Daydream Believer" plays in the background. Are S.W.O.R.D. the ones keeping Vision and Wanda trapped inside, or are they simply trying to figure out what's going on? We'll hopefully learn more next week...

SPOILERS, but yeah.
Wandavision Episode 3... Still kinda waiting for stuff to really get moving. This episode had more of Wanda exercising her control over everything, it's clear she plays a role as the antagonist in some form including with the line where she says "Do you think they know it's my fault". I still doubt she is the primary antagonist, even though we are being led to believe she is the one manipulating everything. Mystery aspects still feel heavy handed, not much room for speculation and nothing much new revealed for those already familiar with S.W.O.R.D.

The heavy handed mystery aspects leave nothing to really speculate on or tide you over until the next episode. Episode 1 told us Wanda is in control of reality. Episode 2 told us that S.W.O.R.D. was trying to free Wanda. Episode 3 tells us nothing new. It really should have been a series released all at the same time. I think people would have better luck if they just binge the series when its over.

Awesome episode.

Wanda was sinister towards the end.

Ha! Her accent was back with the Sokovian lullaby.

Saw on Twitter someone make a connection with the commercial to Agents of Shield. When they're in the virtual world, Coulson said he stop using Hydra's blue soup because it had chemicals that made you susceptible to brainwashing. Don't if THAT was intended.

If this took place during the time she got snapped, and her family got snapped as she popped back through a portal that would be crazy! It also adds to the line "you took everything from me" she says to Thanos. But I doubt it, would still be cool lol. Either way her family will be gone at the end, sending her into omega level sentience. Keep in mind that this wasn't supposed to be the first marvel content for phase 4 hmm. Also the glitch Wanda does was some Andy Kaufman level trolling, so far everyone I've seen, went back to see if it was their streaming device hahaha.
