EW has debuted a batch of promo stills for Adam McKay's upcoming sci-fi comedy, Don't Look Up, giving us a first official look at the incredibly impressive cast.
Jennifer Lawrence and Leonardo DiCaprio play a pair of low-level astronomers, Kate Dibiasky and Dr. Randall Mindy, who must go on a giant media tour to warn mankind of an approaching asteroid that will destroy Earth. Meryl Streep plays U.S. President Janie Orlean, while Jonah Hill portrays her son and chief-of-staff Jason.
They'll be joined by: Cate Blanchett, Tyler Perry, Rob Morgan, Mark Rylance, Ron Perlman, Timothée Chalamet, Ariana Grande, Scott Mescudi (aka Kid Cudi), Himesh Patel, Melanie Lynskey, Michael Chiklis, Tomer Sisley, and Chris Evans in a minor cameo role (presumably not playing himself as he did in a recent movie).
We don't know a whole lot about this one beyond the basic premise, but with this ensemble, audiences are going to be curious to check it out regardless.
McKay wrote and directed the movie, and is also on board as producer under his Hyperobject Industries banner with Kevin Messick.
Don't Look Up is out in select theaters December 10 before hitting Netflix on December 24. The first trailer should be online soon.
UPDATE: Sooner than expected!
