EXTRACTION Trailer Sees AVENGERS Star Chris Hemsworth Head Into Battle In Russo Brothers-Produced Film

Netflix has released the trailer for Extraction, a new action-thriller coming to the streaming service produced by the Russo Bros, written by Joe Russo, and starring Avengers: Endgame's Chris Hemsworth!

Extraction follows Tyler Rake (Chris Hemsworth), a fearless black market mercenary with nothing left to lose when his skills are solicited to rescue the kidnapped son of an imprisoned international crime lord. But in the murky underworld of weapons dealers and drug traffickers, an already deadly mission approaches the impossible, forever altering the lives of Rake and the boy.

Described as "an action-packed, edge-of-your-seat thriller" directed by Sam Hargrave, Extraction was written by Joe Russo, and produced by the Russo Brothers and Hemsworth.

The movie also stars Rudhraksh Jaiswal, Randeep Hooda, Golshifteh Farahani, Pankaj Tripathi, Priyanshu Painyuli, and David Harbour, and it was filmed on-location in India and Thailand. It definitely looks like a fun ride, and if Hargrave's name rings a bell, it's because he's no stranger to the MCU.

He's served as the stunt coordinator on everything from Captain America: Civil War to Thor: Ragnarok and Avengers: Endgame. His other credits in the role include Suicide Squad and The Hunger Games: Mockingjay. In terms of directing, Hargrave has helmed a number of shorts, so Extraction is clearly being eyed as his big break (if nothing else, we know the action will be good).

Looks like a really good pure action film, not as many of them around.

Looking forward to it

Ok. I’m in. Maybe not best for the theater. But for sitting in the f-ing apartment for the 3rd week straight...its Oscar worthy.

That looks... kinda bad. I have no idea why Hemsworth is so good in the MCU and so... Home and Away everywhere else

It could just be the trailer but I found myself kind of bored watching it and even zoned out at point. It looks like your generic action film that comes and goes every year. But I think I will give it a chance because The Russo Brothers know what they are doing and Hemsworth is likable. Maybe I will be surprised.

From the Producer [insert name here] is almost ALWAYS a bad sign.

Bad films usually do this as Average Joes associate the name with something good and instantly assume that name is directing or being directly involved with this film, too.

It's a simple marketing ploy.

It’s an action vehicle pure and simple and the action looks well shot for the most part. I’m down. Looks like an easy watch.

Action scenes look on point. I would watch it on Netflix though never theatrical.
