Stranger Things will return for a third season, Netflix announced today.

While we figured this to be the case given the popularity and positive response to Seasons 1 and 2, Netflix made it official in a tweet today. Following a poll asking fans if they should make another season of the hit sci-fi show, the streaming service posted a follow-up tweet, confirming, "FOR THE LOVE OF STEVE, DUH! So hold tight baby darts — season 3 is officially happening."

No premiere date was announced and it's obviously way too early for any details about what Season 3 may focus on. While Season 2 wrapped up pretty tightly, we were left with a slight cliffhanger that could suggest more danger looms over the town of Hawkins.

What did you think of Stranger Things Season 2?

A few too many homages to Ailens, but Season 2 was okay. I felt the Eleven meeting her sister in the city was kind of pointless and felt rushed.

I think the season needed about 2 or 3 more episodes to more properly develop that relationship and the growth of Eleven.

Other than that it was okay.

@blackandyellow - That one got to me a little bit. He was such a nice and sweet guy. But I suppose he had to be out of the picture for Hopper to make his move.

@MasterMix - if there is hopefully they dont over do it, there can be drama, but there has to be a good reason for it

@dracula - They were smart to separate them for most of the season. It made the relationship feel more like a payoff. I'm fine with drama, just don't break them up for no reason.

@MasterMix - @MasterMix - Hope they have more screen time together in season 3, and yeah dont break them up just do add drama. Also I would really like to see Hopper and Mike work together next season, maybe if Eleven goes missing near the end of the season

I really liked Season 2. To me it felt like Season 1 on a much bigger scale. Interesting how the story will continue in Season 3.

I want a full 80’s Karate Kid Montage with Steve set to “I Need A Hero”, where he finally learns Tae Kwon Do, and goes full Kobra Kai.
Give me a headband, and full spin kicks.
I want the rematch between him and Billy!

Season 2 was really great. Loved it a lot. I remember after season 1, I didn't want them to do more, to me at that time it felt like a perfect series right there in one season. But then when I saw more and more for season 2, I absolutely loved it. I couldn't have been more wrong about not wanting more. Bring on season 3.
