Euphoria has become something of a small-screen phenomenon following its much-discussed season 2 finale, and one of the show's many breakout stars has now joined the cast of The Umbrella Academy.
Though we don't have any details on his character, Netflix has announced that 15-year-old Javon Walton, who plays teenage drug dealer Ashtray on the controversial HBO series, will have a role in the upcoming their season of the superhero sci-fi show.
The season 2 finale of The Umbrella Academy (you can check out our review here) saw the gang successfully save the world (again) from Armageddon, but when they returned to their own timeline, they found themselves in an alternate reality with the "Sparrow Academy" seemingly led by the now very much alive Ben Hargreeves.
The Umbrella Academy season 3 will consist of 10 episodes, with main cast members Elliot Page, Tom Hopper, David Castañeda, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Robert Sheehan, Aidan Gallagher, Justin H. Min, Ritu Arya and Colm Feore all confirmed to return. Steve Blackman is also back on board as showrunner.
Spoilers for the Euphoria season 2 finale follow.
Ash was gunned down by the police in the episode, and while we didn't see his body, it seemed pretty clear that he was killed. Walton has teased the possibility that his character survived, but the fact that he's joined the cast of a new show would seem to confirm that we won't be seeing our favorite juvenile delinquent again!
