Penny Dreadful stars Josh Hartnett, Timothy Dalton, Eva Green, Reeve Carney, Rory Kinnear, Billie Piper and Harry Treadaway. Skyfall scribe John Logan is set to write all eight episodes of the series, with the director of that movie Sam Mendes executive producing. The first two episodes will be helmed by The Orphanage director Juan Antonio Bayona.

Think he could've made a cool Batman... Weird how he's practically disappeared... Quite underrated, hopefully this'll give him a chance to shine.

I've always thought that if Robert Downey Jr. ever left the Iron Man franchise that Josh Hartnett would be a good replacement for the character to go on. He is not to young and not too old. Just a thought.

Hartnett has always seemed a little one-note to me. He plays the gruff loner well, but that's about it.
