It's a little hard to believe, but it's now been over a year since we last saw Boba Fett on our screens. While the bounty hunter's series, The Book of Boba Fett, received positive reviews, it was far from a smash hit, primarily thanks to some of the creative decisions made by Lucasfilm.
Among them was the time Fett spent with the Tusken Raiders, not to mention an entire episode that was devoted entirely to Din Djarin and Grogu. The title character also wasn't quite as badass as some fans might have liked, but when all was said and done, Fett was still Tatooine's new ruler.
Joining him in the series was assassin Fennec Shand, and actress Ming-Na Wen has shared her hopes for where a possible season 2 could take the duo.
"I would like to see what they do with their...you know, he's this Lord now of Tatooine, and he is managing to have some control, but he was trying to do it one way, and I'm not sure how effective it was," Wen tells Collider (via SFFGazette.com). "He was trying to have a greater honor system."
"I would love to see that he turns back to a bit more like what Boba Fett was in also being able to maintain justice, or accomplish what he needs to accomplish on Tatooine," she continued. "And then, ultimately, just to have a lot of fun battle scenes."
There were hints that Fennec didn't necessarily agree with Fett's way of doing things, so exploring that possible tension could be a lot of fun. Whether there's a big enough appetite for more of these characters is hard to say, though we certainly wouldn't be against them returning.
Many fans were disappointed to not see Fett in The Mandalorian season 3, but Fennec will be part of The Bad Batch season 3.
Do you think The Book of Boba Fett should get a second season?
