The Mandalorian's second season delivered surprise after surprise, but it was Temuera Morrison's return as Boba Fett that really blew us away. The actor, finally given the chance to put his own spin on the bounty hunter after playing Jango Fett and dubbing the character's lines in the original trilogy, kicked ass and made fans fall in love with Boba all over again.

Now, he's set to reprise the role in The Book of Boba Fett this Christmas on Disney+, but what can we expect from the series? Talking to Rotten Tomatoes, Morrison stressed that he couldn't reveal much, but did proceed to share some new information about the show.

"[We’re] going to see his past and where he’s been since The Empire Strikes Back," the actor teased. "Somebody pointed out he’s been kind of stuck in this one place, and now’s the time to actually go back in time and check out his journey and find out more about him."

It sounds like we can expect to find out what happened to Boba after he escaped the Sarlacc Pit and what he was getting up to, minus his armour, on Tatooine.

Later, Morrison would go on to confirm that Robert Rodriguez has been enlisted to helm episodes of The Book of Boba Fett! "After having a good meeting with these guys and they outlined a few things, it was just wonderful. Again, it was nice to work with these people, and it was just a great opportunity. They brought Robert back in to direct a few more. There’s some wonderful directors involved."

"It’s hard work now, what we do now, a whole new system, with COVID in place, health and safety regulations," he concluded.

Lucasfilm and Disney+ have yet to share anything from The Book of Boba Fett, though we're definitely anticipating that changing soon (there's no Star Wars Celebration this year, but a trailer or first look of some sort has to be on the horizon). In the meantime, let us know your thoughts on these reveals from Morrison in the comments section below.

I'm not a fan of flashbacks or prologues in general, so I kinda hope they find ways to work moments from his past into his current journey. Like meeting the fella who helped him out of the Sarlacc again or showing some of the resources he gained in the meantime.

I feel like i’m in the minority, but I’m actually upset we’re getting this show before Mando. I care more about Djn than I ever have about Boba and I just don’t care that much about a Boba show

Wherever he's been, it aged him 20 years. Boba Fett is supposed to be in his early 40's in this series.

Temuera Morrison was the correct age for this version of Boba Fett back when he played Jango Fett.

@THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - Star Wars aging has never made sense. Obi-Wan in 19 years looks like he goes from his thirties to his late 60s lol

@Waddles - Well I guess Obi-Wan is proof of that...

@THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - Yeah that's why I'm more interested in seeing him play Rex. Or another clone. He'd be the right age for that.
