The still untitled Disney+ Obi-Wan Kenobi series is reportedly scheduled to start shooting early next year, and it sounds like Lucasfilm is now setting about casting the supporting roles as pre-production ramps up.

According to The Illuminerdi, actors are currently being sought to play the following characters.

Riley (aka Eve) Female (20-25) CO-LEAD – A female BIPOC whose character details are being kept under wraps

Tia Female (30s) SUPPORTING – BIPOC

Harold (Late 20s-30s) SUPPORTING – A quirky, comedic male

Bella Female (40s) SUPPORTING – Latinx

These are most likely codenames to disguise the real identifies, so it's obviously difficult to tell if any of these guys are established Star Wars characters. However, we do have an idea of who might be in contention to play "Riley."

Apparently, Thuso Mbedu, Anula Navlekar, and Naomi Scott have all received call-backs for the co-lead role. Scott is the best-known of the three having starred in Aladdin, Power Rangers and the recent Charlie's Angels reboot; Mbedu was nominated for an International Emmy Award for her role in Is’thunzi; while Navlekar is still a relative unknown and hasn't appeared in any high-profile projects.

Plot details for Obi-Wan Kenobi remain under wraps, but it is expected to focus on the legendary Jedi during his self-imposed exile on Tatooine. There are rumors that younger versions of both Luke Skywalker and Leia Organa will appear, but that's yet to be confirmed.

Are you guys looking forward to seeing Ewan McGregor return as Obi-Wan Kenobi? What do you make of these character details? Be sure to share your thoughts down below.
