Star Wars Day didn't have many surprises in store for us, but we can't complain too much after getting that awesome new Obi-Wan Kenobi trailer. You can watch that by clicking here, but we now have some stills that offer a closer, hi-res look at several key moments from the sneak peek.
Despite essentially being screencaps from the latest trailer, these are worth checking out, especially as we get to see more of the Sith Inquisitors and that big Darth Vader tease.
These shots appear to come from a scene showing Vader suiting up, a process we're sure is painful and traumatic for the hero turned villain. The Sith Inquisitors also receive the spotlight, along with "Ben" Kenobi's time on Tatooine and a tense exchange with Luke Skywalker's Uncle Owen.
Obi-Wan Kenobi's story begins 10 years after the dramatic events of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith where the hero faced his greatest defeat - the downfall and corruption of his best friend and Jedi apprentice, Anakin Skywalker, who turned to the dark side as evil Sith Lord Darth Vader.
The series stars Ewan McGregor, reprising his role as the iconic Jedi Master, and also marks the return of Hayden Christensen in the role of Darth Vader. Joining the cast are Moses Ingram, Joel Edgerton, Bonnie Piesse, Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Simone Kessell, and Benny Safdie. Deborah Chow directed all six episodes of the show which premieres on May 27 with its first two episodes and wraps up on June 22 with its finale.
