OBI-WAN KENOBI Rumored To Face An Inquisitor In "An Epic Lightsaber Battle" On Disney+ Series

There's been speculation that Ewan McGegor's legendary Jedi could face-off against one of The Empire's Inquisitors in the upcoming Obi-Wan Kenobi Disney+ series, and we may now have confirmation.

The Inquisitors have been a staple of the animated side of the galaxy far, far away for a while now, but it looks like fans will finally get to see at least one of the ruthless Jedi hunters make their live-action debut in the Obi-Wan Kenobi Disney+ series.

There's been a lot of speculation that Ewan McGregor's legendary Jedi master could face-off with an Inquisitor on the show, and Making Star Wars is now reporting that Kenobi will engage one of 'em "in an epic lightsaber battle in at least one episode of the series." He also indicates that Obi-Wan will indeed leave Tatooine and "go off-world" at some point.

Whether this will be an Inquisitor we've previously met or a brand new character remains to be seen, but it might be worth noting that The Queen's Gambit breakout Moses Ingram revealed that she will "play with lightsabers" shortly after being announced as a member of the cast.

Specific plot details are under wraps, but we do know that Obi-Wan will be set between the events of Revenge Of The Sith and A New Hope, and that Hayden Christensen will return as Darth Vader for a confrontation with his old master. There are also rumors that younger versions of both Luke Skywalker and Leia Organa will appear, but that's yet to be confirmed.

McGregor and Ingram join Indira Varma, Joel Edgerton, Bonnie Piesse, Kumail Nanjiani, Rupert Friend, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Simone Kessell and Benny Safdie. Their characters have not been announced, but some set photos did recently confirm that Varma will play an Imperial Officer.

The Mandalorian director Deborah Chow is set to helm all episodes of the series, with Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy on board as producer along-with Chow, Jason D. McGatlin (The Rise of Skywalker), Tracey Seaward (The Queen), and John Swartz (Rogue One).

Makes a ton of sense to have an Inquisitor to show up. I don't see a battle with Vader aside from one force-vision dark side cave style one happening, nor do I expect a lot of flashbacks to the Clone Wars.

As for who the Inquisitor will be, I guess that would be the Third or the Fourth sincce we haven't seen those. Hoping for either Barriss Offee or a new one.

Eh I honestly didn't want any lightsabers in this show, but they're the iconic weapon so they HAVE to show up somewhere I guess

Kenobi leaves Tatooine to draw the empire to him and keep them away from Luke. It would be great if Keboni leads the empire into a trap. An uninhabited moon that hides a great monsters. finally, the empire uses the proto-death star to destroy the moon and we see the origin of the asteroid field

The Inquisitor discovered Obi-Wan. I think of a situation similar to that seen on "The Phantom Menace". The Inquisitor and his "probe droids" discover a Jedi on Tatooine. Then, Obi-Wan fights the Inquisitor. Finally, the Inquisitor dies but the "probe Droids" send the coordinates to an Imperial computer.
