THE BOOK OF BOBA FETT Actress Sophie Thatcher Hints That Drash & Co. Will Be Sticking Around For A While

The hover-bike gang that were introduced in last week's episode of The Book of Boba Fett weren't exactly embraced by fans, but it sounds like Drash (Sophie Thatcher) and her pals will be sticking around.

Last Wednesday's episode of The Book of Boba Fett, "The Streets of Mos Espa," introduced a highly divisive new group to the galaxy far. far away: A gang of cyborg hover-bikers riding brightly colored vespas who wound up joining forces with Lord Fett and Fennec Shand.

The perception was that these "space-hipsters" didn't really suit the Star Wars aesthetic, and while that's certainly debatable (go back and re-watch the prequels), it's probably going to take a lot for these guys to win fans over. Fortunately, it sounds like they'll get the chance to try!

During an interview with THR, Drash actress Sophie Thatcher - who also plays the younger Natalie on Showtime's Yellowjackets - was asked about her character and her debut episode's chase scene, as well as how much time she spent shooting in the Volume (the innovative FX technology designed by ILM).

"Most of it was on the backlot. I have something else in the Volume, but I also don’t know how much I can say. You can assume my character might be in more stuff. Yeah, I don’t disappear. (Laughs.) I don’t even know if I’m allowed to say that."

So, we shouldn't expect the gang to be wiped out by the Pykes during Wednesday's new episode!

It sounds like there are bigger plans in place for Drash, in particular, and Thatcher's comments suggest that another major action sequence is on the cards. Let's tune in tomorrow and give these punks another chance, eh?
