There's a pretty good chance next week's episode will turn out to be a special one as former Trickster Richard Speight, Jr. returns to direct his second installment of the year after his previous outing "Stuck in the Middle (With You)" was met with rave reviews.

The hour will follow Sam & Dean as they take on one of Mary's cases and head out to lend a hand to fellow hunters Tasha and Max Banes, who are looking for their missing mother. Meanwhile, Mary will find herself in a world of trouble when she realizes the British Men of Letters are (unsurprisingly) not what they seem.

Check out the new promo for episode twenty, titled "Twigs & Twine & Tasha Banes," below:

"Twigs & Twine & Tasha Banes" - (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET) (Content Rating TBD) (HDTV)

RICHARD SPEIGHT, JR. DIRECTS - Alicia Banes (guest star Kara Royster) calls Mary (guest star Samantha Smith) for help after her mother, Tasha (guest star Alvina August), goes missing. Meanwhile, Mary starts to have some doubts about the British Men of Letters. Richard Speight, Jr. directed the episode written by Steve Yockey (#1220). Original airdate 5/4/2017.

In the show’s eleventh season, Sam and Dean Winchester (Jared Padalecki & Jensen Ackles) faced their greatest challenge yet: the all-powerful Darkness, better known as the sister of God. Freed from her prison by Dean, she threatened all of creation, until God (with the help of Sam, Dean, Castiel and Crowley), made amends with her. Before they left Earth, however, they restored Sam & Dean’s mother, Mary Winchester, to life. In Season Twelve, the Winchesters must not only contend with an escaped Lucifer and the British Men of Letters (who’ve come to end their hunting days), but they’ll also have to relearn what it is to be a family again after all these years.

Supernatural features:
Jared Padalecki as Sam Winchester
Jensen Ackles as Dean Winchester
Misha Collins as Castiel
Mark A. Sheppard as Crowley
Samantha Smith as Mary Winchester

Season plot- british men of letters show up, are evil, torture brothers. Then turn out to be kind of ok yet still clearly evil to anyone with a brain. Sam and deans mum bangs em for a while. Then they 'shock' turn out to be evil. Also the devil does some stuff.

(Becomes a dorky aged 'rock star', becomes the president and boffs his missus, then gets chained up and hangs out waiting for something to happen like the rest of us.)
