SUPERNATURAL: Dean Michael Makes A Surprising Ally In New Photos & Poster From The Season 14 Premiere

Supernatural returns for its fourteenth season next month and it's shaping up to be one of their wildest years yet with Dean Winchester finding himself a prisoner in his own body as Michael takes over.

Last season ended in epic fashion as Dean (Jensen Ackles) finally said yes to Michael - the apocalypse world version - in order to save Sam (Jared Padalecki) and finally defeat Lucifer (Mark Pellegrino) once and for all. However, in a devastating twist, Michael reneged on his promise to let go of Dean's vessel and ran off to places unknown before the credits rolled.

The season fourteen premiere will pick up several weeks (months?) later with Michael still in the wind and Sam still struggling to come to terms with what's happened to his older brother. Padalecki tells Entertainment Weekly,  “Sam’s not worried about sleeping or eating or shaving. He’s trying to figure out what happens with different people’s vessels and different angels.

As for Michael, he'll be an angel on a mission and will be assessing the landscape of heaven, which currently only has approximately ten surviving angels, when we catch up with him in the season premiere. In his quest, he'll cross paths with Jo (Danneel Ackles), who has her own
agenda, but may be of some use to the well-dressed villain. Jensen Ackles teases their initial meeting, “He utilizes that meeting as an assessment of the greater realm of angels that exists. And she’s not necessarily the best representation of the angels that are out there, because she kind of has her own agenda and is a bit rogue. So his meeting with her does prove to be a little different than anticipated, which makes for an interesting dynamic.

@TheCoonII - sounds like a plan to me. From what people told me the show peaks at season 5. You agree with that or no?

@MrCamw1 - Yeah, season 5 was definitely the peak. Everything after has been perfectly watchable, but nothing on the level of Season 5, which was outstanding.

"The season fourteen premiere will pick up several weeks..."

Oh, come on. Michael hasn't conquered this reality, in all that time? What is the problem? Why does he even need Dean's body? Those meat suits are literally for interacting with humans and nothing more. Man, the writing on this show just keeps descending. Please just end it, while it's still got some life.

@blitzburgh - I didn't say I didn't like it. I like fries, but even fries begins to grow undesirable, when the makers get lazy and stop giving it time to grow golden.
