Venom: Let There Be Carnage will be with us very soon, and Sony Pictures has begun to amp up promotion for the sequel as its October 1 release draws near.

Following several new TV spots and a series of character banners, Regal has shared a new IMAX poster for the movie which features some pretty cool artwork of the feuding symbiotes locked in combat.

Venom vs. Carnage is something Marvel Comics fans have been waiting to see play out on screen for many years, and they'll finally get the chance to witness what promises to be an epic battle when Tom Hardy and Woody Harrelson's takes on the iconic characters cross paths next month.

Check out the poster below.

As the title suggests, the Sony Pictures sequel will see Venom go fang-to-fang with his arch-nemesis from the comics, Carnage. The first movie did prove to be highly divisive, but many fans are likely to give Let There Be Carnage a chance, if only to witness that long-awaited battle on the big screen.

Michelle Williams and Reid Scott are set to reprise their roles from Venom, and they'll be Joined by Naomie Harris as the villainous Shriek, and Stephen Graham as Detective Patrick Mulligan. Sean Delaney, Laurence Spellman, and Larry Olubamiwo are also on board in undisclosed roles.

We recently found out that Venom 2's release had been pushed forward by two weeks, and will now open on October 1. The movie is rated PG-13 for "intense sequences of violence and action, some strong language, disturbing material and suggestive references."

The first poster where Carnage is really red, and not this greyish dark strange thing.

Cool poster.

@RorMachine - I thought about sending a message, but figured you’d all have been deluged by them already. Kinda surprised that wasn’t the case!

@Feralwookiee - fun fact: Mcfarlane never drew Carmage. His depature from Spider-man was about 30-40 issues ahead of Cletus's debut. As far as this pic goes- it looks like a Wizard fan art winner. Not necessarily a bad thing. It just brought back the noatalgia.

@Inktown03 - people are still going to complain if Spider-Man was in it, especially if it was Holland Spidey.

Wow, looks like the ending to the first movie except the symbiote is tinted red. So exciting.

Cool poster.
I’m not against a spider less venom vs carnage film first.
What bugs me is venom not having Spider-Man in his origin.

The only way I'll accept Venom being canon with the MCU is if the television broadcast that's going around is just multiverse interference and different signals and transmissions are coming from different dimensions.

@SonOfAGif - I'll only accept Venom is MCU (or any other movie and TV show) if it has the Marvel Studios intro playing at the beginning. If not, it's just another studio trying to sneek their movie or TV show into the true MCU

@Moriakum -
Tom Hopper may be the variant of Eddie in the MCU. The boy is 6ft 5in. So he can be a very imposing Venom.
