Spawn Might Be A Guest Character In MORTAL KOMBAT 11, According To Todd McFarlane

The recently announced Mortal Kombat 11 will feature many iconic, and unbelievably brutal characters, and there's a good chance that Todd McFarlane's Spawn will join the video game's roster at some point.

NetherRealm Studios' Motal Kombat 11 was officially announced at last week's The Game Awards and instantly became one of the biggest (if not the biggest) highlights of the recent video game-focused show. We know that the series' iconic heroes and villains like Scorpion, Shao Kahn, and Raiden will be playable in MK11, but another classic character might be on his way to the incredibly graphic game.

According to comic book artist Todd McFarlane (who also co-created beloved Spider-Man villain Venom), Spawn might also be a playable fighter in Mortal Kombat 11. During a recent AMA session on Reddit, McFarlane was asked if one of his most recognizable creations would be appearing on the roster for Mortal Kombat 11, and he responded by simply saying, “I believe he’s on his way…

Considering that the acclaimed studio added Jason Voorhees, Predator, Leatherface, and a Xenomorph to Mortal Kombat X in a DLC, there's a poissibility that you will indeed have a chance to fight the franchise’s main villain Shao Kahn as Albert Francis "Al" Simmons.

Whether or not the anti-hero will actually be in Mortal Kombat 11 or this is just wishful thinking on McFarlane’s part remains to be seen, however.

Mortal Kombat is back and better than ever in the next evolution of the iconic franchise. The all new Custom Character Variations give you unprecedented control to customize the fighters and make them your own. The new graphics engine showcasing every skull-shattering, eye-popping moment, brings you so close to the fight you can feel it. And featuring a roster of new and returning Klassic Fighters, Mortal Kombat’s best in class cinematic story mode continues the epic saga over 25 years in the making.

Mortal Kombat 11 will launch for Xbox One, PC, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch April 23, 2019.
