VID GAMES: SUPERMAN Rumored To Appear In BATMAN ARKHAM KNIGHT

The speculation of shared gaming universe among DC characters has always felt like a dream and nothing more, right? Well, new reports say otherwise. Hit the jump for more!

New reports are flooding in and are saying that perhaps the king of easter eggs, Rocksteady, are planning on expanding the "Arkhamverse" in the highly anticipated Batman: Arkham Knight. Specifically, it's being said Rocksteady will drop hints that the Justice League does exist via radio messages across the game (something we have seen done with the Riddler, Alfred, Oracle, etc). Batman will pass by ongoing radios where newscasters are reporting on other heroes, villains, or possibly specific locations in the DCU. Rocksteady are no strangers to using radios to drop easter eggs, keep in mind. But that's not all; Superman is supposedly set to visit Gotham and offer Bruce help during this time in his life. However, Bruce of course denies the offer and we don't see Superman for the rest of the game. The other big rumor going around is Rocksteady is considering giving another hero the video game treatment. Could that hero in fact be Superman? One would have to think that, right?

Now, take this with a big grain of salt even though this does seem to have some logic behind the idea of Superman appearing. It appears WB has been trying to give their DC properties a big push in recent years, and Rocksteady currently has no plans for the future. Plus, with Batman vs Superman due in two years, it wouldn't be surprising to see the two teaming up in some form before then. Nevertheless, this is just another rumor that needs to be taken lightly.

BONUS!: Hit the link below to hear game director Stefton Hill talk about the challenges of keeping gampeplay fresh but at the same time similar in Batman's latest outing.

Until next time, still classy my friends.

From the rumor, it would be a very very small part. I like that. As long as he doesn't play a huge part in the story.

Well unless Rocksteady was being very coy with their "This is our last Arkham game" leading fans to believe they won't be doing another. Unless that meant that after this, they are making a Justice League game, or another character.

Would love Superman, maybe he'll pop up, but will be playable as a DLC or pre-order bonus so get a disc with Metropolis and a Superman stage on it.

A Superman game should really focus on some Smallville interaction. Because it's difficult to engage Clark's character development without Smallville. It seems dumb to just drop Superman in Metropolis and have him flying around.

Alright, but he's gotta have to fly through rings like in Superman 64.

@Batmaniac Why can't Superman die? There are plenty of potenial villians that could cause him problems. Granted your average thug won't, but maybe they'll take the Arkham approach and the people have left the city as a major threat is coming.

It'll be about the story, personally I would to be able to play as Clark Kent to...I want to be able to change into Superman at anytime I choose, but this would allow for a more investigation type game.

Yep, would have to be freeroam. They would also need to alter the combat system so that you can have fights that go through buildings, incorporate the surroundings etc.

Rocksteady should also do a Green Arrow game and maybe Flash...those four things would make me happy: Arkham Knight, Metropolis, Central City, Starling City
