Well, we made it this far, I guess we can wait a couple of more months. Rockstar have revealed on their website that Grand Theft Auto V, which was previosly scheduled for Spring release, is now going to be available on September 17, 2013. The reason for the delay is so they can improve the game:
" We know this is about four months later than originally planned and we know that this short delay will come as a disappointment to many of you, but, trust us, it will be worth the extra time. GTAV is a massively ambitious and complex game and it simply needs a little more polish to be of the standard we and, more importantly, you require. To all Grand Theft Auto fans, please accept our apologies for the delay, and our promise that the entire team here is working very hard to make the game all it can be. We are doing all we can to help ensure it will meet if not exceed your expectations come September – we thank you for your support and patience."
According to Rockstar,
Grand Theft Auto V will be their biggest open world game to date, and the story will follow three characters: Michael, a former bank robber, Trevor Phillips, Micheal's partner in crime with psychopathic behaviour and Franklin, who works as a repo man for Armenian car dealership.
Developed by series creator Rockstar North, Grand Theft Auto V heads to the city of Los Santos and surrounding hills, countryside and beaches in the largest and most ambitious game Rockstar has yet created.
A bold new direction in open-world freedom, storytelling, mission-based gameplay and online multiplayer, Grand Theft Auto V focuses on the pursuit of the almighty dollar in a re-imagined, present day Southern California.
