WONDER WOMAN Could Now Be Looking At A $175 Million-Plus Opening Weekend At The Global Box Office
Wonder Woman opens this weekend, and the latest box office estimates now place the movie's global debut in around the $175 million mark. It seems those positive reviews could be a factor...
Patty Jenkins' Wonder Woman movie was originally expected to pull in between $100-$110 million over the course of its opening weekend, but Deadline is now estimating that the iconic DC superheroine's first solo big-scree adventure could lasso as much as $175 million-plus.
The movie is still on course to earn around $65M-$75M stateside, but its international cume could now reach as high as $100-$118 million.
These latest figures arrive on the heels of the overwhelmingly positive reviews, which have rocketed Wonder Woman up to 96% on Rotten Tomatoes. There are still plenty of critics that need to weigh in, but Warner Bros. should be very confident that this will have an impact on the film's first few days in theaters.
