When it seems we've fully measured the capacity for Wonder Woman's success we turn a corner and are reminded that capacity may well be limitless. After early negative press and low projections before its release, the DCEU solo outing for the Princess of Themyscira nevertheless persisted to become the highest grossing film of the US summer and racking up a total worldwide gross of almost $830 Million USD.

Well it seems the audience demand and desire for the Patty Jenkins directed suphero film didn't stop there, as last Sunday saw the film's release on on-demand networks and premium cable channels -- and it hit big.

According to the numbers provided by Nielsen for Wonder Woman's premiere on HBO, the intial February 10th telecast drew approx. 2.809 million viewers beating out coverage of the 2018 Winter Olympics by almost 300,000 viewers. It was also the biggest single-day audience for an HBO premiere since 2016.

What do you think? Were you one of those people that tuned in? Or do you already own the film on DVD/BluRay? Are you looking forard to re-visiting Wonder Woman on home release? Leave your thoughts below.

This just makes me think that DC would have been in way better shape if they had started their film universe with Batman, Wonder Woman, and Superman origin movies...and built it from there.
