DC Studios co-heads James Gunn and Peter Safran unveiled the first part of their DCU slate earlier this week, and while several major big and small-screen projects were announced, fans weren't given definitive answers when it came to the statuses of some of the actors who joined the Warner Bros. franchise during the "Snyderverse" era.
We know Henry Cavill is out as Superman, but what about the other original Justice Leaguers?
When we learned that Warner Bros. Discover had shelved Patty Jenkins' Wonder Woman 3, it was generally assumed that Gal Gadot would be hanging up Diana's gauntlets, but Gunn was quick to debunk a rumor that he'd given the actress "the boot," and the filmmaker has now shared another update.
Gunn was asked about Gadot's status on an Instagram post about Creature Commandos, and clarified that he and Safran "didn't let Gal go." He also revealed that he met with the Red Notice star a few weeks ago.
This would seem to suggest that Gadot is still on board as Wonder Woman and might make the jump to the DCU, but it may also be telling that Gunn won't give a direct answer about her future in the role (maybe they simply haven't decided on anything yet)?
We do know that a Paradise Lost TV series set in Themyscira is in the works, but, as far as we're aware, Wonder Woman will not feature. Maybe the first season will lay the groundwork for the character to show up at a later date?
What do you guys think? Will we see Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman again? Be sure to share your thoughts down below.
