Zack Snyder Shares First Photo He Took Of Gal Gadot After Deciding To Cast Her As WONDER WOMAN

Say what you will about Zack Snyder's work in the DCEU, but casting Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman was a genius move and the actress has now reflected on that after Snyder shared a photo from her audition...

Zack Snyder continues to share photos from his time working in the DC Extended Universe and after posting a shot of Gal Gadot he took during her Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice audition, the actress weighed in on what it was like to have the filmmaker believe in her.

That's more than what a lot of fans can say; when Gadot was cast, everything from her acting ability to the size of her breasts came under fire and it wasn't until she proved her haters wrong that they quietened down.

Since then, Gadot has gone on to star in both Wonder Woman and Justice League and will next be seen in Wonder Woman 1984. Patty Jenkins' sequel was originally set to hit
theaters this November before Warner Bros. decided to push it back to next June so that it has a similar slot to the first instalment which was a huge hit when it debuted back in 2017.

While the League's future on the big screen remains uncertain, things look much brighter for the Amazon warrior. Are you glad Gadot was chosen by Snyder to play the iconic DC Comics superhero?

I know people like to give Zack credit for helping Gadot's career. But, there was a reason she wasn't getting much work [until Zack brought her on].

And I still think they could have gone with a better actress. People like to talk about her charm and looks, but it doesn't-- and rather shouldn't have to distract from her acting.

@Kurne - She gets a pass on bad acting because of her accent and because English isn't her first language like Arnold used to. They also hide a lot with way too many slow mo shots

Really looking forward to 1984, people like to mock her chops, but I think Gadot has been an excellent Wonder Woman :)

I don't hate Gadot in the role or anything (because Diana has at least been an OKAY written character in different movies) but he really could have done better than that in my opinion.

Patty Jenkins definitely brought out the best in Gal Gadot (and hopefully continues to do so) but I can see an actress like Gemma Arterton constantly delivering.

Wonder Woman was a decent film. But I still don't buy Gal Gadot in the role and neither do I think she's a good actress.

I feel like Haley Atwell or Gemma Arterton or even Adèle Exarchopoulos would've been far better in the role.

@Murdock857859 - Adèle is way too cute to be Diana in my opinion

Look at that face!

@Murdock857859 - She's a horrible actress. What comes along as passable is due to Jenkins and the extra long post production on both films to find serviceable material.

Gemma Arterton would have beena great choice. Jamie Alexander, Alexandria Daddario, Olivia Wilde, hell, even Adrianne Palicki would have been fine given the proper script ad costume.

If you wanted to give it to someone that can't act, at least give it to someone that looks the part like Gina Carano

@inkniron - see this is what I’m talking about above. I think maybe when guys dont find a woman attractive or appealing we go after their acting even when theyre a good actress. It’s always after their acting. I mean I would love Alexandra Daddario in the role too, because I think she’s a [frick]ing bombshell. But she actually is a really average actress (at best).

Why do we always become acting experts/critics when it’s a chick in the role?

I mean Cavill and Affleck didnt get nearly as much heat, and theyre two of the most wooden (not bad, just unversatile) actors around.

@connorblaze - Daddario is leaps and bounds better than Gal, but it isn't like she was on the top of that list either. Any one of them I mentioned can act circles around Gal. Just makes me wonder what we could have gotten from any of them under Jenkins direction. If she could get a passable preformance from Gal, she might have gotten an award worthy one from the others.
