20th Century Fox has debuted another pair of clips from what has now been confirmed as the studio's final X-Men film, Dark Phoenix.

This time we see Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence) give the younger team members a pretty rubbish pep-talk before they blast into space to save some astronauts. Once they leave Earth's atmosphere, Nightcrawler (Kodi Smit-McPhee) teleports in with Quicksilver (Evan Peters), and we get to see the beginning of the mutant speedster's trademark slow-mo action sequence.

In the second sneak peek, Jean Grey (Sophie Turner) encounters the mysterious villain player by Jessica Chastain, who attempts to convince the conflicted young mutant to embrace her new powers.

In DARK PHOENIX, the X-MEN face their most formidable and powerful foe: one of their own, Jean Grey. During a rescue mission in space, Jean is nearly killed when she is hit by a mysterious cosmic force. Once she returns home, this force not only makes her infinitely more powerful, but far more unstable. Wrestling with this entity inside her, Jean unleashes her powers in ways she can neither comprehend nor contain. With Jean spiraling out of control, and hurting the ones she loves most, she begins to unravel the very fabric that holds the X-Men together. Now, with this family falling apart, they must find a way to unite — not only to save Jean’s soul, but to save our very planet from aliens who wish to weaponize this force and rule the galaxy.

Starring James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Tye Sheridan, Alexandra Shipp, Kodi Smit-McPhee, and Evan Peters, the film is set to be released on June 7 in the UK (as X-Men: Dark Phoenix) and the U.S.

RealD 3D

This RealD 3D poster revisits the eye motif of the recent Black Hole promo image, as several of Jean Grey's former friends and teammates are reflected in her powerful peepers.

We know the fury of the Phoenix Force will claim the life of Mystique, but are any of the others destined for fiery ends?

IMAX

Speaking of which, this striking IMAX poster for the movie sees Jean standing atop a mountain of ash and debris.

Can we expect to see The Dark Phoenix burn it all down like Daenerys did on last night's episode of Game of Thrones?

Dolby

The Dolby exclusive poster features a very comic book-inspired look at most of the main team members standing together, while Jean Grey floats above in Dark Phoenix mode, destroying the iconic X-Men logo.

@FenixFlamez - This is directed by Simon Kinberg who took over from Josh Trank when they were making Fan4stic.

So I doubt it.

@SecretAgent008 - Damn you, you're going to make me defend Simon Kinberg...

The truth is, we don't know how truly bad of shape Fant4stic was in when Kinberg was brought on to fix it, or how much money and time he had. Yes, he did a piss-poor job, but (like Whedon's salvage operation of Justice League), it's hard to tell how piss-poor it was without more context.

Sweet Christmas that was awful. Jennifer Lawrence has quit even trying, though the script is probably a turd too.

I feel like this has a chance at being a nice little film, loved by everyone? probably not, but I feel like it might be a surprisingly decent film.

Just speculating here, but Quicksilver dies pretty early in this movie, right? In one of the trailers they reveal that Mistique dies about half way through the film, and the rest of the X-men are mourning, and he isn't in any of those shots. Soooo.... he's dead.

The one downside of the Fox X-men movies coming to an end is no more quicksilver.

I hope they give him one last 2 minute speed scene. The last 2 were amazing.

@TRexx21 - But is that the full scene? Where's the amazing 1980s soundtrack that usually plays on his walkman?

@Nightwing1015 - Oh I'm looking at it at work w/ it muted so I couldn't hear the music...I'm sure it will be this same scene just extended and with music.
