Logan is nearly upon us, and we may actually start to hear first impressions in about two weeks or so, following its premiere at the Berlin International Film Festival.

The film's Academy Award-nominated star, Hugh Jackman, has just released a brand new theatrical poster for the upcoming James Mangold-directed, film featuring his fan-favorite hero, Wolverine, front-and-center giving us one of his most intense stares yet. The new poster arrives exactly one week after the awesome new pair of trailers were released by 20th Century Fox.

Joining Jackman for his (presumed) final ride are longtime X-Men leader Patrick Stewart and newcomer Dafne Keen as Laura a.k.a. X-23.

Check out the new poster below:

In the near future, a weary Logan cares for an ailing Professor X in a hide out on the Mexican border.

But Logan's attempts to hide from the world and his legacy are up-ended when a young mutant arrives, being pursued by dark forces.

Logan features:
Director: James Mangold
Hugh Jackman as Logan/Wolverine
Patrick Stewart as Charles Xavier/Professor X
Dafne Keen as Laura Kinney/X-23
Boyd Holbrook as Donald Pierce
Richard E. Grant in an undisclosed role
Stephen Merchant in an undisclosed role
Eriq La Salle in an undisclosed role
Elise Neal in an undisclosed role
Elizabeth Rodriguez in an undisclosed role

Logan claws his way into theaters March 3

The Hype for this really gaining momentum. Glad to see it. I was against the Old Man Logan spin on it since they don't have the right characters. But I feel like this has really worked for the Hugh Jackman Wolverine. Hoping this delivers!

This movie has me worried so far. Trailers and pics look depressing as hell. I'm all for a Wolverine movie with grit but dang don't send the audience running for the razors. Wolverine doesn't have to have a dark and gloomy ending. Just sayin.

@DoctorShadow - I agree, it needs more terrible jokes and wolverine running around in a spandex

@DoctorShadow - the second trailer has a bit of light hearted warmth near the end. "this is what real life looks like. People love each other, a home." Despite how depressing it is with the end of Logan, there's still a bit of redemption in there.
