The First Official Synopsis For LOGAN Paints A Bleak Picture For Our Heroes
With the next trailer release imminent, Hugh Jackman has released the first official synopsis for his upcoming superhero sequel, Logan, and it teases a dire situation for both Wolverine & Professor X.
In a little less than two months, James Mangold is all-set to redefine the superhero genre forever with his upcoming Wolverine sequel, Logan, which will take place in the not-so-distant future and see Hugh Jackman's fan-favorite hero, in a self-imposed exile, thrust into a post-apocalyptic setting where he must fight to survive in a world without his fellow X-Men.
Early this morning, Jackman released the film's official synopsis, which sheds a little light on where Logan and Patrick Stewart's Professor X find themselves at the start of the picture and it's a vast departure from where we saw them last at the tail-end of X-Men: Days of Future Past. All seems to be going relatively well for the duo until they discover a young mutant - the mysterious Laura (a.k.a. X-23) - and engage with the dark and sinister forces that are pursuing her.
Check out the full synopsis below:
In the near future, a weary Logan cares for an ailing Professor X in a hide out on the Mexican border.
But Logan's attempts to hide from the world and his legacy are up-ended when a young mutant arrives, being pursued by dark forces.
