Since he first played Wolverine in 2000's X-Men, Hugh Jackman has become synonymous with the role of Wolverine. All these years later and the actor is still playing the fan-favourite mutant, but he's finally going to call it quits with The Wolverine sequel in 2017. Whether Fox will recast - no easy feat - or put the character on the shelf for a few years obviously remains to be seen (Deadpool or Gambit could easily become the new "face" of the X-Men franchise in Jackman's absence), but finding a new actor to play Wolverine isn't going to be easy. Luckily, in an interview to promote Pan, the Australian actor revealed his pretty much perfect idea for who could take over from him; The Dark Knight Rises and Legend star, Tom Hardy!
