X-Men.

Story: A band of unique power-possessing mutants live in a world where their kind is hated and persecuted by humans. Under the guidance of their leader, Professor Charles Xavier, the X-Men strive for a world where humans and mutants can peacefully co-exist. The superheroes must also combat those radical mutants with intentions of exterminating human the race.

Acting: The acting from the cast was outstanding. From stars like Patrick Stewart and Hugh Jackman to lesser known actors (at the time) like Sir Ian Mckellen and James Marsden (who unfortunately hasn't had a good film since the X-Men films).

Director: Bryan Singer is a great director, he knew what he wanted and he went after it. For someone who had no clue about the X-Men when he made the film, he sure started a great franchise from this amazing film.

Effects: For being released in 2000, the effects were outstanding.

Score: The score kept the auidence interested and knew exactly where the high and lows should be.

Overall: X-Men was the start of Marvel's biggest franchise (number of films) and for sure is a damn good film. With an amazing cast, director and effects this film is a must see Marvel film. 8/10

X2: X-Men United

Story: After the events on Liberty Island, everyone at Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters is settling in. Magneto is locked up in a plastic cell, Rogue and Bobby Drake have finally gotten together, and Wolverine has set off to find his origins. But it won't stay quiet for long. After a mutant attack on the President, everyone starts to fear any type of mutant. William Stryker, who plans to stop all mutants, takes over the school, causing Wolverine and his team of mutants to go into hiding. Stryker has managed to capture Xavier and will use him to create another version of Cerebro. Wolverine and the team must now team up with their enemy, Magneto, to stop Stryker before it's too late.

Acting: As with the first film this film's cast did an outstanding job and sells it from start to finish. This has the best cast for an X-Men film that isn't X-Men: First Class. That should be saying something.

Director: Bryan Singer took the best of what he did on the first film with the help of the script and just expanded it and made it 10 times better.

Effects: All I'm gonna say is their wayy better than the first.

Score: Same as before.

Overall: Aside from X-Men: First Class, this is THE best X-Men film ever released. 10/10

X-Men: Last Stand

Story: The X-Men, mutant heroes sworn to defend a world that hates and fears them, are back! This time, with the help of new recruits The Beast and Angel, they must face evolution itself in the form of their former teammate, Jean Grey. Possessed with the cosmic power of the Dark Phoenix, the resurrected Jean Grey has become a danger to herself, her mutant comrades, and the entire planet. To stave off this imminent threat to humanity, a potential cure is discovered and processed to treat -- and ultimately eliminate -- genetic mutations, once and for all. Now, as the battle lines are drawn, the X-Men, led by Professor Charles Xavier, must contend with both Jean Grey's world-consuming powers, as well as the malevolent Brotherhood, a band of powerful mutants organized under Xavier's former ally, Magneto.

Acting: The Acting from the main cast gets better every film as the drama becomes more of the story. Some of the acting is ok from the newer and lesser powerful members of the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants. Other than that overall the acting is pretty good.

Directing: Brett Ratner, he's good but he couldn't capture the magic that Bryan Singer's X-Men films had.

Effects: The effects in the last battle at times you can tell are fake, other than that their damn good.

Score: The score had the epic feel to it as this is SUPPOSE to be the final film of the main series though a fourth is still in talks.

Overall: Though I wish Bryan Singer had directed this X-Men film because the magic really isn't there, Brett Ratner still does a job that staisfies the need to pull the films to a close. Though if a fourth is to happen bring in Mister Sinister or Apacolypse please!!! 7/10

Don't take this the wrong way, but everyone here has seen the trilogy.... more than likely nearly 6 years ago. Why are you just now getting around to reviewing them like we haven't heard of them before?

Btw, my rating:
6/10, 9/10, 6/10
(Hugh Jackman pissed me off in the first movie, although definitely has grown on me, he's still just not what Wolverine ought to be)

I have enjoyed all the X-Men movies even X3 and Origins even though they weren't perfect. The thing that makes X3 and Origins at the bottom of the list is that they had to many useless cameos of mutants that didn't help the story. The first and Second X-Men films were great tho.

Nice reviews. I wouldn't give X3 any attention. It had the potential to be very good, as good as X2, but it failed miserably. First mistake was changing directors. Second error, was mixing the Cure storyline with the Phoenix Saga. It was unnecessary. The Cure was more than enough to carry the movie. We all knew Jean would return as Phoenix, but by randomly throwing in another storyline, which could have been the synopsis for another potential film, Jean's story wasn't done justice. That's all I got to say.
