AMERICAN GODS Actress Yetide Badaki Is Campaigning To Play Storm In Marvel's X-MEN Reboot

We know it's only a matter of time before Marvel Studios begins to introduce X-Men characters to the MCU, and American Gods actress Yetide Badaki (Bilquis) has now thrown her hat in the ring to play Storm.

We're still not sure when or how Marvel Studios will begin to integrate 20th Century Fox's (former) stable of Marvel characters into the MCU, but we do know that a lot of popular and iconic characters are going to be introduced to that massive movie universe, which obviously opens Hollywood's door to a wide variety of juicy roles.

One actress who has decided to "shoot her shot" and be very proactive in campaigning for the part of the X-Men's resident weather witch Ororo Monroe/Storm is America Gods standout Yetide Badaki.

The Nigerian-born actress, who plays Bilquis on the Starz show, sent out the following Tweet to Marvel, Disney, Kevin Feige and others, while also tagging Black Panther director Ryan Coogler.

If you've seen American Gods you'll know how talented Badaki is, and her Tweet suggests that she's a fan of the character. Granted, it's pretty rare that an actor will land a role they've directly campaigned for, but it has been known to happen.

Do you guys think Yetide would make a good Storm? Drop us a comment down below.
