IGN managed to catch up with X-Men Origins: Wolverine star Liev Schreiber earlier today to ask the actor whether he'll be making an appearance as Sabretooth in Wolverine 2.

The actor revealed that he had literally just had dinner with Wolverine himself, Hugh Jackman, and that the two had discussed the possibility of somehow bringing back Sabretooth for a cameo even though he admitted he doesn't recall Sabretooth appearing in the original Japan storyline on which the film will be based.

Schreiber went on to say that he loves Victor Creed and expressed great interest in getting the opportunity to reprise the role in the sequel or another future film in order to explore how the character evolved from his version to the Tyler Mane version seen in 1999's X-Men.

He finished by admitting that he's a huge comic book fan, and mentioned how excited he is to see his friend, Ryan Reynolds, take on the role of Green Lantern. Apparently, the Green Lantern star doesn't get excited about much but is "really excited" about the film.
