Based on the celebrated comic book arc, this epic action-adventure takes Wolverine, the most iconic character of the X-Men universe, to modern day Japan. Out of his depth in an unknown world he faces his ultimate nemesis in a life-or-death battle that will leave him forever changed. Vulnerable for the first time and pushed to his physical and emotional limits, he confronts not only lethal samurai steel but also his inner struggle against his own immortality, emerging more powerful than we have ever seen him before.

The Wolverine stars Hugh Jackman, Will Yun Lee, Hiroyuki Sanada, Tao Okamoto and Svetlana Khodchenkova. The film is set to hit theaters July 26th.

This is my next big film.
Just not really digging Pacific Rim

I just hope the ol' Canuck has a much better outing this time around.
The director gives me some hope of that being the case

Soo what is this finally a Rated R wolverine movie because. The Spots and Trailers so far haven't given me anything. The early screenings say its possible. Here's to a bloody berserker filled wolverine.

I suspected Iron Man 3 would suck but I thought Man Of Steel looked great and it was a Transformers movie.

But damn does Wolverine look good. And James Margold is such a great director I cant imagine this film disappointing.

@TheAntiGrif lol no. The studios would never release an R-rated Wolverine movie. No chance.

His suit in the deadpool game gives Hollywood no exscuse why he cant finally have his suit
Ryguy88
Ryguy88 - 6/29/2013, 11:21 AM
thewolfx, how does a video game costume give Hollywood no excuse not to give Wolverine the yellow suit?
NeoBaggins
NeoBaggins - 6/29/2013, 11:37 AM
The question is WHY, WHY would he be wearing a suit all of a sudden? Or better yet, the mask. I believe he can be enhanced with an outfit, but if the reason doesn't make sense, it will backfire into parody.

This movie is gonna be awesome. I hope it's one of those summer blockbusters that sneaks up on everyone and is way better than expected.
Ryguy88

Yeah, Wolverine has never really tried to conceal his identity or really stood for any sort of symbol. The suit looks cool and all but doesn't make any sense.

That mask also makes zero sense! Its funny that Logan was given that special hair-style after he was drawn in the suit as if he needed to have hair filling every crevice of that mask. Looks cool though, but only exists for that purpose.

Your limiting your imagination if you don't think Wolverines comic book outfit & mask could be used in the context of a movie.
(preferably the brown / tan version or black / grey version)

In a Japanese setting he could absolutely don a suit / mask to conceal his identity as a Caucasian.
He battles ninjas wearing concealing outfits..he favors Bushido & samurai wear outfits in battle.

In modern times with face recognition technology & cameras everywhere,it would be wise for Logan to stop popping claws without disguise.
He could realize wearing a suit on certain missions would provide him camoflauge(black suit) & more durable clothing lasts longer than street clothes that tear to shreds.

I still dont like Jackman as the Wolverine, hes never really sold the role, he can be replaced and hes to tall. Movie looks suspect, dont be surprised when The Silver Samurai eyes fire off an optic blast.
