X-MEN Villain Mr. Sinister Is Officially Coming To The Movie Universe

@Pathogen - That is fairly easy to do. They've already started. Set him up in small tidbits in all the movies listed above... maybe even a minor role in one of them. In the meantime, set up all the main heroes as well... don't reboot or add too many each film. Then have him be the main villain in a film. Less time can be spent on fleshing out the heroes because that has been done in previous films. And more time can be spent on fleshing out Sinister in his film.

The other option would be to reboot again with all new actors playing different takes on the same characters and then bring in an amazing and complex villain like they did with Apocalypse and have no time to explain anything or anyone because there is a new group of heroes that all need explanations and backstories. Everything gets short-changed, and then you have wasted a great character. Like Apocalypse. He could have starred in a trilogy. Instead, he was poorly used in a jumbled film that even cb fans had trouble with since, again, so much was changed from the comics.

@StanLee - I really like Apocalypse. He has a power set and history that could have made him been a major villain if done properly in the films. He's more interesting than to be used as just a one and done villain, and, to me at least, he was wasted in the way he was portrayed in the movie (and portrayed very poorly).

I would prefer that if studios want to make franchises out of CB characters that they have a sort of long term plan. Like I said about Sinister above, it would have been cool to have Apocalypse appear as a character in the background pulling some strings, revealed slowly over the course of a few films, and then had his own film. I remember really liking the way they did it in the 90's cartoon. Sure, it wasn't 100% CB accurate, but at least it wasn't 1 episode and then on to the next one.

In a way, comics are kind of like soap operas. They have many characters that have many plots, some of which are more or less important with each installment. The X-men are very much like this because of the size of the team. And while I enjoy some of the Fox movies, I feel that they have kind of missed out on the opportunity to really explore characters by not keep the same timeline throughout (or having a really convoluted one). But I guess hindsight is 20/20. Who knew CBM's were going to be this lucrative for this,long?

I guess that's why I feel most CBM's feel more like superhero films to me and not really comic book movies. But I guess studios would rather have instant payoff than attempt to set up a 30-film franchise over decades that cost hundreds of millions to produce each episode, and I understand.

@TomSolo - Also, there is something that has always bothered me about comic Apocalypse and 90s cartoon Apocalypse. Why didn't he take over the earth thousands of years ago?
