While the majority of filming is complete, the first photos of Russian actress Svetlana Khodchenkova on the set of Fox's X-Men: Origins followup, The Wolverine, have surfaced online via HughJackMania. After Total Recall actress Jessica Biel had to turn down the role, Khodchenkova's inclusion in the Hugh Jackman-starrer had yet to be confirmed. But thanks to a heads up via StarkIndistries.Ru, the actress is now seen sporting her ‘Viper’ garb, surrounded by armed apparent villains, at an unknown filming location. Based on the celebrated comic book arc, “The Wolverine” finds Logan (Hugh Jackman), the eternal warrior and outsider, in Japan. There, samurai steel will clash with adamantium claw as Logan confronts a mysterious figure from his past in an epic battle that will leave him forever changed. Also starring Hiroyuki Sanada, Tao Okamoto, Rila Fukushima, Will Yun Lee, Brian Tee and Svetlana Khodchenkova, James Mangold directs a screenplay by Christopher McQuarrie and Mark Bomback. And “The Wolverine” is scheduled for release on July 26, 2013.
