Logan director James Mangold was up late last night sharing a trio of unbelievable new photos from his upcoming March release, which will see Academy Award-nominee Hugh Jackman don his famous claws for the very last time.

The highly anticipated X-Men spin-off sequel, which will see Wolverine thrust into a post-apocalyptic world where the rest of his X-Men team are seemingly dead, will also feature Patrick Stewart, Dafne Keen, Stephen Merchant, Boyd Holbrook, and Richard E. Grant

The first of the photos is one that will surely grace more than a handful of desktop backgrounds in the near future as it features Wolverine in a familar stance, walking straight toward the camera down a lonely road that he knows all too well. The second two are storyboard drawings showcasing Wolverine arriving at a hotel and then one with him unsheathing his deadly claws. We also have one shot of another location from the movie. Check out all four photos below:

When are we going to get an Old Man @Gusto film?

I'm sure @McGee has plenty of them.

@MattBellissimo - Wouldnt an Old Man Gusto film just be called a Gusto film?

Sorry, Hugh... but it's time...

@Spock0Clock -

Issue is that this story is set in the future of the X-Men timeline they are currently on - meaning this future is now set.

We know that the ending of Days Of Future Past with Logan returning to the future was him returning to 2023!

In Logan the story is supposedly set in 2024 (or very shortly after)

This means that almost every single X-Men dies within a year after Logan's return to his timeline.

So in terms of a timeline, they would be forced to reboot after a potential X-23 movie. Given all the main X-Men would be dead after 2024 as the timeline shows.

===

To put it simply, don't be too surprised if the film series gets fully rebooted again in the next few years (I'd guess around 2020)

@Scarilian - 4 of the last 6 X films have been heavily set in the past. They can and probably will keep on doing that.

@Scarilian - The series has been focusing on the gaps between First Class and the Original Trilogy (the time periods between). There's a lot they can do with the cast between 1983 and 2023.

@Spock0Clock - the more I think about it the more it seems to me that Logan now being able to shown his age will leave the door open for a big X-Men crossover with Deadpool, Cable, the classic 90's X-Men and old Man Logan himself.

Hugh can now stay in the role forever!

I'm for sure interested/curious about Ragnarok. Have heard nothing but good things about the director.

I think after watching the trailer in Black and White and seeing most of the Instagram pics are black and white that this whole movie might look amazing as a Black and white film.

I would not mind having this movie be entirely in black & white.

I imagine they're going to have a B & W version on the Blu-ray. Mangold seems to have taken to it.
