Earlier this year, it was revealed that Fox are moving ahead with an X-Force movie written and directed by Kick-Ass 2 helmer Jeff Wadlow. Rob Liefeld - who created the original incarnation of the team with Fabian Nicieza - has now taken to his Twitter account to praise the filmmaker's take on the characters. Over the years, everyone from Wolverine to Cable and Deadpool have been on the team, but it remains to be seen who makes it into the movie! What do you guys think?

Its like all anyone does in the comments anymore is just bitch about stuff rather than being happy that we are in an age where an X-Force movie is being discussed by movie executives.

I want to get excited about this, especially if its a fresh start from brian singers crap X-men.

Still wont get my hopes up to much if they are just translating over the style of the x-men movies over.
First Class Exception.

I hope this happens soon. I'm good with Cable, Deadpool, Psylocke, domino, fantomex, and forge. I think with these characters it allows for spin-offs and or collaborated story lines and movies. This is a grittier and more violent bunch. That being said I hope this strays away the x-men and fantastic 4 tone. Less CGI, more combat, and hopefully a better background and character development to allow for spin-offs etc.

I'm okay with holding back X-23 and other another popular character for the second movie (wishful thinking) to avoid overload in the first and bring more intrigue and diversity to the next one. To keep coming back for more ya know

He said that "there are at least 4 sequences where fans of X-Force, Cable and Deadpool will scream in absolute delight." Also that it's possible we'll see X-Force and a Deadpool standalone film released within six months of each other.

Whoo!!!

Didn't Psylocke already appear in X-Men 3? Oh yeah, it's Fox and they don't care about continuity as long as their story is how they like it. If this had absolutely no connection to any other X-Men movie I would be SOOOOOOO excited. I'm excited nonetheless.

Why does everyone hate Liefeld? I met him about ten years ago I cut in this huge line at a Con I had no idea about lines and shit. He goes "You're not going to hurt me are you?"

I think there's only one way to make this movie work - Wolverine leaves X-MEN and starts/joins X-FORCE.
Then you have future X-MEN movies free to focus on other characters and not be all about Wolverine. Throw in Deadpool and a legitimate reason for Wolverine to wear his costume - and you've got a gold mine that everyone will wanna see - and not just some lame spin off.

@ninjacarm- Because he is an awful artist and an even worse storyteller.

From what I heard though, he is a nice guy in person and is really enthusiastic about the comics medium. To his credit, he did help create Image and pushed for more independent comics.

i still want a deadpool SOLO over this stuff
and IF wolverine is in fact in this movie then it will suck
it the main focus is on him AGAIN
but IF this movie happens...im sure the deadpool movie will happen after since it basically somewhat has a green light
