DEADPOOL 2 Actor Lewis Tan Seemingly Teases Shatterstar's Return For DEADPOOL 3

Despite Shatterstar meeting a messy end in Deadpool 2, actor Lewis Tan (Iron Fist, Mortal Kombat) appears to be teasing the character's return for Marvel Studios' upcoming threequel...

Deadpool 2 introduced several members of X-Force... before killing most of them off in one of the sequel's funniest sequences.

Zeitgeist, Bedlam, Shatterstar, Vanisher and poor ol' Peter all met their makers in various gruesome/hilarious ways, and even though The Merc with a Mouth (Ryan Reynolds) did go back in time to save his "Sugar Bear" in the mid-credits scene, it was generally assumed that the others were going to be one-hit wonders.

Lewis Tan, who played alien swordsman Shatterstar, has previously indicated that Wade actually prevented the entire team's demise with Cable's time machine, and was confident that he would be a part of the now defunct X-Force movie.

"You’re going to see more of my character in the X-Force film... that's what it's looking like," he told SyFy Wire back in 2018. "Thankfully, Deadpool went back and had a little time machine that he stole, so in the post-credits scene he brought back Peter, and it’s assumed that we’re all going to come back as well."

Now, the Mortal Kombat actor has sent out a Tweet which appears to be teasing his return for Deadpool 3.

Of course, there's a chance this is simply wishful thinking on Tan's part, but if Domino (Zazie Beetz) and Cable (Josh Brolin) are set to return (rumored, not confirmed), then there's nothing to suggest we won't see the rest of Deadpool 2's supporting players - even if it's just for a scene or two.

Another less than a minute cameo no doubt.

I dunno what it is about this guy, but he's quite annoying... or is just the characters he plays?

He was kind of tolerable in that Badlands show bu that show just descended anyway.

@UniqNo - it’s both. He’s annoying and so are his characters. Also, he can’t really…act. His mortal kombat performance was some of the stalest acting I’ve ever seen in a movie.

If he (and other X-Force members) return, I want it to be for another quick montage of X-Force dying. No need to expand on them.

@bkmeijer1 - They should all start dying, and then when it comes to Vanisher, Wade jumps in tells the camera, "No, no! Not him. He's an A-lister." And Brad Pitt gets to live.

Oh just a little time machine, just like that, just went back, no drama, no consequences, nobody's favourite character.

@ScaryTerry - This right here! Maybe combine the Remender cast with the previous team, if you want to throw in X-23, Warpath and/or Wolfsbane.

@ScaryTerry - I can do without Fantomex, especially if they throw in Domino.

Doubt we'll get to see any form of team though, given that it will mostly lay the focus on Deadpool and Wolverine.

@bkmeijer1 - Oh shit, I forgot about Domino. Yea, I agree with this.

Lewis Tan does this all the time. Tries to make people think he's gonna be in a big upcoming project or big role but then it turns out he just had some general meeting with an exec, and he simply got too excited so posted about it (or is trying to drum up rumors/hype).

Like seriously, the Iron Fist debacle aside, he's just a shitty actor who thinks he's the shit.

I like this actor and his portrayal of Shatterstar. He should have been the actor to play Scorpion in the latest Mortal Kombat (2021) Movie.

To be fair his scene in the movie was one of the better ones.
