As excitement for X-Men '97 continues to build, promo art and character posters for the X-Men: The Animated Series revival have surfaced (via Toonado.com).

In those, the entire team receives the spotlight, including new additions to the team like Bishop, Morph, Sunspot, and Magneto. They'll be signing up to fight the good fight in the wake of Professor X's disappearance, and as X-Men rosters go, we'd say this one is suitably comic-accurate (and formidable).

With threats like Mister Sinister and the Sentinels on the horizon, the X-Men will need all the power they can muster if they hope to make it out of this sequel series in one piece. Marvel Studios' larger plans for the property remain unclear, though returning to this world promises to be a blast.

Talking about plans for a second season, X-Men '97 Head Writer Beau DeMayo recently teased, "[Production] is going really, really well. We’re just in post-production on Season 1 and [right now] writing the finale for Season 2. I cannot be happier."

That certainly bodes well, though we'd appreciate some news on the first batch of episodes before getting too excited about the second. Marvel Studios must have a plan, though, and with mutants starting to find their way into the MCU, there's a chance the premiere is being saved for closer to Deadpool 3's 2024 release.

After all, with Hugh Jackman finally about to suit up in live-action, that feels like the perfect time to bring these costumed heroes back and remind moviegoers what they're supposed to look like!

If there's one thing we don't need in the MCU, it's more black leather.

We'll have to wait and see what happens, but for now, you can check out this new X-Men '97 promo art in the Tweets below.
