Five Things I Want From (Or To See In) X-MEN: APOCALYPSE

I loved Days of Future Past, it was practically a perfect superhero movie. Here are 5 things I want from (or to see in) X-Men Apocalypse.

WARNING - SPOILERS AHEAD

5. MORE DEVELOPMENT BETWEEN ERIK AND CHARLES

My favourite aspect of First Class and DOFP was the sometimes friends, sometimes enemies relationship between Erik and Charles. I'd love to see more of that in Apocalypse. Plus with the future no longer set, everything is up in the air...will Erik form his brotherhood and continue in his attempt to spark war between humanity and mutants - or is this new Magneto much less malevolent?

4. WHAT'S GOING ON WITH STRYKER (AKA MYSTIQUE) AND WOLVERINE

A pretty big cliffhanger/set-up was Mystique, disguised as William Stryker, leaving with a recently rescued passed out Logan. Where are they going, what is she doing, how will this affect Weapon X? Hopefully we get answers to these questions.

3. MORE QUICKSILVER...AND INTRODUCTION TO SCARLET WITCH

Quicksilver stole the show in DOFP and I'd love to see more of him in the sequel. Further, I'd like to see the introduction of Quicksilver's sister Scarlet Witch (a scene referencing SW existence was deleted from DOFP).

2. COSTUMES AND TEAM DYNAMIC

Setting it in the 80s allows for the opportunity to have some retro costumes (much like the blue/yellow ones of X-Men: First Class). More importantly, the costumes would signify the existence of an actual X-Men team.

1. YOUNG JEAN, SCOTT, & STORM

This is pretty much a guarantee for the movie given the heavy suggestions in DOFP and by Singer/Kinberg. With Charles reopening the school, we will hopefully see the beginnings of the true "first class".

What do you want to see in X-Men: Apocalypse?

So was the girl in Quicksilver's arms Polaris? Yes to all of these and I want Nate Grey.

Yes yes!
Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch should be recruited into the Brotherhood!

& @GliderMan

I want that too! Seeing how amazing the original cast looked, it just makes me want to see more stories from the original X-Men. I'd love them to have movies from the FC X-Men and the Original X-Men simultaneously. People were saying they're too old but damn did they all look good!

No, leave Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver in Avengers. And do NOT use the comic uniforms, they look stupid.

@Lhornbk Quicksilver and SW make more sense in X-Men movies than Avengers - at least they can actually reference the fact that they are Magneto's children and mutants. As for the comic uniforms, they need some sort of uniform as they are a team. I'm not saying they need to be exactly like the comics but they should still have uniforms and maybe be a homage to the comics.

@QuestiontheAnswer I think it could be Polaris. Did you see the person that resembled Nate Grey at the beginning and end of the movie? It might be him.

It shouldn't be her. If it was, it would add an interesting dynamic if the twins took care of their lil sis but wouldn't that mean Magneto knew about the twins if he had another after them, provided she has the same mother in this universe? Or, the very least, they know about him and located her, having their caretaker adopt her.

Quicksilver was badass! Does Polaris have the same mother as Quicksilver ?

@Superhero96
Yes, I noticed. His glasses were HORRIBLE! I'm thinking - ok, we've got Anna Paquin, that was obvious. We've got Kelsey Grammer, that's cool (even if the makeup wasn't). We've got - awww it's Famke Janssen, my childhood/puberty crush. So, wait for it, wait for it, AAAAAAAANNNNNNDDDDDD.....

THOSE GODAWFUL GLASSES!!!!!
WTF?

Hopefully we get some variant of the old/new costumes from First Class. That was something I really liked, even though they were obviously VERY constricting.
Magneto is going his own separate way, and it's unlikely we'll be seeing him work with Mystique for a good LONG time.

One thing I know for sure is that I can't go into the next movie hoping to see any kind of semblance to the comics. Bryan Singer worked hard to wipe the slate clean to do his own thing, and I doubt very much that he'll be following the comics closely now. I can tolerate that - I love the comics, and the movies don't change what I love about them.

I would like to see an established team dynamic as well. Costumes, please! Also, can Magneto not be the main villain please? I would like them to go more comic-booky in the next one for sure.

I like your idea of a team dynamic and new villains aside from Magneto. Personally, I'd love to see the X-Men deal with Mr. Sinister, Proteus or the Morlocks (not the version shown in Last Stand). Or maybe an otherworldly threat such as the Shi'ar, perhaps?

Early on, for some reason, Singer and the powers that be at Fox decided not to show the more science-fiction elements of the X-Men (time travel, Sentinels, aliens) to keep it grounded and more focused on the human-mutant conflict. Reportedly, Tom Rothman, ex chairman at Fox, didn't want the Sentinels because he didn't like the idea of giant robots (this was before the Transformers films, mind you).
