Jennifer Lawrence Seems To Have Changed Her Tune About Returning For More X-MEN Movies
The Oscar winning actress has previously implied that X-Men: Apocalypse would be her last time playing Mystique, but in a new interview with Empire Jennifer Lawrence claims she's "dying to come back"...
Director Bryan Singer has made it very clear that X-Men: Apocalypse would mark the end of a "natural prequel trilogy", and that seems to suggest that some big changes are in store for our merry band of mutants in any future installments.
Several of the main cast members' (including Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy and Nicholas Hoult) contracts will be up, and Jennifer Lawrence seemed to show little interest in reprising the role of Mystique in a past interview - in fact she flat out stated that this would be her “last one, sadly”
Well, perhaps her experiences shooting this latest X-flick changed her mind, because now she sounds only too happy to return for another run in the blue paint. “I am dying to come back,” the Academy Award winner tells Empire “I love these movies, I love being in them. I love ensemble movies because it’s not on anyone’s shoulders."
Of course that doesn't mean she will be back, but it's nice to know that it's a possibility. Then again, Mystique did look to be in a spot of trouble at the end of the recent trailer, so there's always a chance she may not even survive this movie.
X-Men: Apocalypse is set to open in theaters on May 27, 2016.
