Jennifer Lawrence Spotted In Full 'Mystique' Mode On X-MEN: APOCALYPSE Set

We saw Mystique in the leaked SDCC trailer and a few officially released stills, but she was in her human-looking Raven guise only. Well, evidently Jennifer Lawrence will also be going blue for at least a few scenes in the film as she was snapped on the Vancouver set in full make-up. The photographer only managed to get her from the side as she left her trailer and then while she was walking away, but better pics will no doubt surface soon enough.








Directed by Bryan Singer, X-Men: Apocalypse also stars Jennifer Lawrence (Mystique), James McAvoy (Professor X), Michael Fassbender (Magneto), Nicholas Hoult (Beast), Alexandra Shipp (Storm), Sophie Turner (Jean Grey), with Tye Sheridan (Cyclops), with Kodi Smit-McPhee (Nightcrawler), Rose Byrne (Moira MacTaggert), Oscar Isaac (Apocalypse) and many others. The movie opens on May 27, 2016.

While I'd argue Mystique is one of the strongest female characters we've gotten in recent CBM's from the last decade, I do surely hope Fox utilizes more of their female characters. They have the strongest no doubt. Wish they'd put some damn clothes on her too and change the aesthetic. That's Singer for ya' though. Movie'll be dope nonetheless

@GliderMan It'd make sense for Marvel to produce standalones. You can't throw the X-Men into such an established universe, they'd become redundant.

@GliderMan all she does in the movies is just complain. Don't get me wrong, I like the character, but they just don't use her well enough. In the comics she's a bad ass. The other thing that bothers me is the look.

MCU is pretty much moving on from Mutants, they're pushing heavy with all the Inhumans. Marvel in general is pushing the Inhumans as the next "Mutants". Sure, they can acquire X-Men, but it'll take too much work having them fit into the universe. Unless they do a TV show, they won't get around to touching the X-Men until years from now, they've already got a game plan and are already having to change it for Spider-Man. I'd rather have Fox do a whole universe around X-Men than have them thrown into MCU where they'll play third or fourth string in a universe that's revolving around the Avengers.

I hope she gets killed off quickly. Or becomes purely a villain. Her ambiguity is really not interesting and derailed DOFP into lameness.

She's way better than average. What adds to her sexy is she's very talented & a she's a smart cookie.
In fact a beautiful runway model or a hot curvy stripper can be less attractive if they are just dumb & talentless.
