Oscar Issac On X-WINGS And Why He Took On The Role Of APOCALYPSE

Speaking to Moviefone, Oscar Isaac was asked questions about Star Wars, his experience inside of an X-Wing, and his role as the titular villain in Bryan Singer's X-Men: Apocalypse.

“It was very cool, but a little nauseating because the thing is on a gimbal and moving all around,” Issac said describing his experience inside an X-Wing. “I forgot to breathe and I was like, ‘Whoa.’ But it was very cool." Issac also seemingly confirms his return for Star Wars Episode VIII after saying he "very excited" to work with director Rian Johnson.

Finally Oscar Issac revealed why he decided to take on the role of Apocalypse saying, “My first comic book I ever collected was ‘X-Factor’ and I actually really loved Apocalypse, and yeah, so when I heard that maybe that would be the next villain, I was like, ‘Guys, get me in there, I want to meet with them’…Apocalypse is so cool and weird and scary and I wanted to be a part of that." The actor also keeps mum when asked whether or not he will be doing any motion capture for the role. "[Pause] I'm going to be on set... Although I don't know the details of the whole situation."

Oscar Issac on X-WINGS'

You did that on purpose. I initially read that as 'X-MEN'.

I figure that they'll make Apocalypse a more Egyptian/mental villain than a technological physical villain. Which is cool. Just give me Mr. Sinister.

Fantastic casting, he nails every role he's in with such versatility.
I think he's going to steal the show, which is what every great villain needs to do!

Bruh your thumbnail brings back memories.

In middle school we read Romeo & Juliet and all us guys would flip our shit at all those scenes where her tits were an inch away from falling out of her shirt.

...maybe is all the soapy take on X-Men since Fox & Singer, but this movie really doesn't give any tickles anywhere...

Issac pitched himself for apocalypse, not the other way round?!?!?! thats so cool! I had faith in him before because he's been good in everything I've seen him in, but that just made me way more confident we are gonna get an AWESOME portrayal.

If anyone is interested in Character acting, check out 'A Most Violent Year'. Not much happens in it, (its more of a talkie) but Issac is excellent in it.

@Kong - apparently your school showed you an edited version of the film...you don't have to be excited about her breasts ALMOST falling out, she's naked in at least one scene.

And I remember all us boys losing OUR shit over THAT!
