Still not overly excited about this movie.. Looks like it has massive potential but my X-Men have been so poorly represented thus far that I just have to wait to see it to judge for myself.. The few scenes I have watched I have mixed reactions about.. Iceman sliding around looked absolutely incredible, no doubt about it.. Bishop's "gun" looks like a nerf toy with lights lol.. Quicksilver has no relation to Magneto which is retarded, it's a time travel movie and you couldn't figure how to work that into the story? And he looks horrible on top of that.. Peter Dinklage will prob have 15min screen time which is a bummer.. Beast "hulking out" kinda sucks and goes against his character completely.. Fassbender, Jackman, McAvoy, Stewart, McKellan & Lawrence (they are perfect for these roles & look like they brought their a-game).. I can get passed all my nit-picks if the story proves incredible akin to the comic version.. DoFP was definitely one of my favorite X-Men, even comic book, stories ever! Hope the movie does it justice!

@HulkbusterNYC

You do know that Beast has "hulked out" as you say in the comics as well. A user on this site posted a pic captured from a comic strip which explained the same thing surrounding his character going through the same thing.

@Retrofit

Define "hack" and explain in detail why he is? You throw the word around without explaining why. The same gets thrown at Goyer. Not every bad writer is a hack. A hack to me is someone who exploits movies budgets and gets away with it. Hell you're a hack, I'm a hack, and everyone is a hack. See how easy it is to throw around?

@yossarian
As I asked, then define it for me. What is a hack and how do you categorize someone as a hack?
A hack to me is what I said above and like I said "TO ME" so I may be wrong.

I watched Xmen (the 90's cartoon with the awesome intro music, good memories), the episode on DAYS OF FUTURE PAST (the 2-part episode)with Bishop time-traveling and as much it was interesting, i'm curious to see the ew take on that storyline (if we had a combined MCU, it would be wicked but alas c'est la vie.)

Hack writer is a colloquial and usually pejorative term used to refer to a writer who is paid to write low-quality, rushed articles or books "to order", often with a short deadline. In a fiction-writing context, the term is used to describe writers who are paid to churn out sensational, lower-quality "pulp" fiction such as "true crime" novels or "bodice ripping" paperbacks. In journalism, the term is used to describe a writer who is deemed to operate as a "mercenary" or "pen for hire", expressing their client's political opinions in pamphlets or newspaper articles. So-called "hack writers" are usually paid by the number of words in their book or article; as a result, hack writing has a reputation for quantity taking precedence over quality.

^See by that I don't understand how you can call Kinberg a hack writer by that definition since no one has witness the quality of Days of Future Past, Apocalypse, or FF. It's like people can time travel and say the film will suck. This site sure has some great clairvoyants.

Now Goyer I guess for people who hated MOS or TDK trilogy is a hack writer to them but to people like me who enjoy MOS, Blade, Da Vinici's Demons, and TDK, don't see how he is a hack writer. It's an entirely subjective term.

Like come on people, every writer/director/actor have all done bad movies sometimes in their life. Some more than others of course.

Yeah he isn't a hack writer to me by that, he's just not a very great writer. He is okay/good but definitely not hack.

Have anybody heard the rumor about Magneto is going to be Apocalypse?
m0th3r
m0th3r - 4/23/2014, 12:41 PM
You dont have to "bash" singer..you can just point to his recent track record of train wrecks and over budget turds...Until this movie, Superman Returns was largest CBM budget ever...No need to hate Singer..his performances speak for themselves. He is like a great quarterback...out of the gate like a war horse, made some awesome stuff..and now in the sad death thralls of the end of his career...a career he should have ended years earlier while on top...no pun intended.. :)

What? Magneto possibly being Apocalypse... Do not want!

SugarYumYum - 4/23/2014, 3:10 PM
Of course Magneto would be Apocalypse. Gotta keep milking that Fassbender train after all.

And the SSS can kindly kiss my ass. I'll say whatever the [frick] I want about Singer and these films.

So we can't talk about the elephant in the room. That's a bit disappointing.

I'm still looking forward to DOFP but i'm also hoping that if what Singer has done is true then hopefully he'll be prosecuted and if he's innocent then people should move on maturely.
GuardianDevil
GuardianDevil - 4/23/2014, 8:41 PM
Lol, there is no "SSS"...the people saying that are the anti-X-Men fanboys who hated Singer even before all this happened. You have a right to freedom of speech, no one here has ever tried to keep you guys from saying what you want. There are plenty of people who disagree to be sure.

There are people who voice their opinion and defend Singer, somehow that makes them secret police now?? Tell me who is REALLY being intolerant of differing views now, hmmm??
GuardianDevil
GuardianDevil - 4/23/2014, 8:44 PM
I support absolute freedom of speech unless its regarding personal threats...you have a right as a human being to say whatever the fvck you want to say...but people disagreeing with you does NOT mean that they are being intolerant. In fact it's quite the opposite...

For the record I love Singer's X2, I thought SR and X1 weren't bad but mediocre. I like his films, but if the allegations are true I hope he gets locked up!

GuardianDevil - 4/23/2014, 8:45 PM
Like forever, he's a real bag o shit if its true!!
