i seriously don't get why they can't send xavier or magneto back, or even both of them. why is wolverine so special, especially if kitty sends bishop back earlier in the movie

@Mrcool210 because Fox and friends believe Wolverine is the only thing keeping this franchise afloat. Name one XMen film, he hasn't been in...oh wait there isn't one. Not to mention to stand alone films and another in development. Funny how in an entire universe full of interesting characters with "uncanny" abilities, they focus on the guy with knife hands.

@DAGuess i figured that much, i mean from a story stand point, if the only people who can stop this are past versions of magneto and xavier and they need to be convinced by wolverine? why not just send xavier and magneto back? so we can have that one scene of mccavoy and stewart? its a cool scene but you write scenes are your story not the other way around

@Mrcool210 agreed! Frankly First Class has been my favorite XMen film, which oddly enough had the least amount of Wolveriness.

I wouldn't send Xavier or Magneto back either as neither of them are the ones with the healing factor. If either of them were killed in the 70s with their future consciousness that would [frick] up quite a lot. That makes sense to send Wolverine back.

DAGuess@ Um isn't the entire Marvel universe damn near built around Iron Man? He is the one that gets the most screen time, he is the one that gets the majority of the best lines, he is the one that they have chosen to focus on mostly. Its always going to be one character that is focused on more because they are the on that sells the best. Hell we all know that when a Justice League movie does come around Batman is going to be turned into the Tony Stark in that he will be the one with the most screen time, the best lines, the coolest scenes, and he will be "the leader"

Sounds like most of the future mutants that are left dye pretty early on in the film.

I wonder why Bishop is in it if he's not doing any time-traveling. That's what he's most known for.

If I had to guess why their sending back Wolverine instead of Magneto and Xavier beside the obvious studio pandering to the masses liking Wolverine. It would be that they either can't go back to their bodies due two minds can't occupy the same body and the message is a prerecorded psychic message the Professor place in Logan's mind before the time jump.

@JatevinM Sure Marvel has built a cinematic universe around Iron Man. Iron Man was the first film that made it possible for a cinematic universe and Marvel built it from there. However, there have been plenty of films made without Iron Man, save for an end credits cameo at the end of Incredible Hulk with RDJ. Captain America and Thor have done well minus Iron Man as will future films. And honestly, I though the screen time was well divided amongst the characters in Avengers. There is also Agents of Shield, which has no Iron Man, or any other Avenger for that matter. Not saying everything Fox does is wrong or everything Marvel/Disney does is right, but Iron Man is not used the same Wolverine has been in the X films.
