X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST Becomes Second Most Successful Film In Franchise (Domestically)

X-Men: Days of Future Past has been seen by many fans and critics as the best entry in Fox's franchise and it's now well on it's way to becoming the highest grossing. Hit the jump to check out just how far it is off becoming the most successful X-Men film yet!

Bryan Singer's X-Men: Days of Future Past has become the second most successful film in Fox's franchise, passing Singer's X2: X-Men United. The film has now made $216 million (opening with $90 million) worldwide, beating X2 by $2 million.
Last month's film is seen by many fans and critics as the best yet and has reinstated Fox's trust. The film still hasn't matched up to 2006's X-Men: The Last Stand which made a total of $234 million, however it looks like the film will reach that figure before it ends it's run in theaters.
